Promotions, and clips, and photos, oh my!
:: Come To Daddy was released last weekend and the publicity is in full swing. Before the film's release, there was a special screening in Los Angeles and there are plenty of photos, in addition to a video from the Q&A which followed along with some dancing. There's a design for a new poster from Mondo which sold out during the screening, but it's been said more will be made.
:: If you're not in an area where it's showing in a theater, you can rent or buy this amazing movie from various streaming outlets. But if you can't at the moment, here are some clips to further entice you. Can I ask you something?, Selfie, Elton John.
:: Of course there are interviews too. Here are a couple of excerpts from Late Night with Seth Meyers , and Conan O'Brien. . You can watch the full Late Night interview on Hulu, and I made some screencaps from both appearances. Seth Meyers and Conan.
:: Elijah took part in some amusing, informative and random video interviews like these from Wired, where he addresses the most searched questions about himself on the internet, a fantastic in depth chat about some of his films that he doesn't speak of too often from Yahoo's Role Recall, and First We Feast's Hot Ones, where he sort of took on their hot sauce challenge. I would love if Elijah fully participated in their standard interview platform.
:: Check out these online print conversations from Coming Soon, Rue Morgue, SyFy Wire, Forbes, and my personal favorite, Birth.Movies.Death, which is hysterical!
:: The difference between print and video is podcasting and there's a great one from The Boo Crew.
:: Here are some photos of the Q&A's with Elijah and Ant that were held at the ArcLight in LA, the Alamo Drafthouse in New York City and San Fransisco, and in Auckland, NZ where the movie opens nationwide beginning February 20. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
:: Closing out this Come To Daddy-centric post with Elijah helping out the Girl Scouts, and taking a break from filming in his jammies.
That's all... for now.

Before I get into the birthday goodies, there are a few things to catch up on.
:: Just 10 days from now is the release of Come To Daddy in select theaters and VOD. As announced, live streaming from the Alamo Drafthouse theaters are taking place, and this is no exception. There will be one with Elijah and Ant from the Drafthouse in LA on February 3 and extending to those attending at The Frida Cinema. No word if the stream will air on their Facebook page, but it wouldn't hurt to check it out.
:: Color Out Of Space opened this past weekend and performed very well in its limited release. It's set to expand to more theaters this coming weekend.
:: For the fans of Richard Stanley, who directed Color Out of Space, there are a couple of interviews you should like. First, a podcast from Post Mortem with Mick Garris. Second, Daniel Noah conducted one of his own for Fangoria. You can read all three parts on their site. [Part 1] [Part 2] [Part 3]
:: The Color Out of Space soundtrack is available to listen to on Spotify. If you're into the vinyl, you can get that too!
:: Lastly, let's help Elijah celebrate his 39th birthday. Hold on... wait. 39? That number doesn't seem right. If you have a Twitter or Facebook account, send him some birthday wishes and hashtag it #HappyBirthdayElijah or #Happy39Elwood or whatever you wish. We do what we've been doing here, and showing our gifts for the birthday boy. Click on the image below and sing a spirited round of
That's all... for now, and Happy Birthday Elijah!

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a pleasant holiday season. With the old decade behind us and a new one starting, let's get to it.
:: SpectreVision's, Color Out Of Space had a special screening in Los Angeles this week. There were many anxious fans waiting in line for hours to be brain-smacked by it and to sit in on the Q&A after. Some photos from the screening are beginning to trickle in.
:: Come To Daddy is about three weeks away from being released on the general public, but don't feel left out UK, you're covered! First, there's a new UK poster out. Second, you can now pre-order the movie at Amazon, and third, there will be a couple of showings of the movie in February at The Prince Charles Cinema.
:: It's pretty difficult to find one good review of Come To Daddy, because there's so many goods ones to choose from! In any case, I've put some together in the movie review section.
:: The movie's director, Ant Timpson, is sharing his experiences on making his debut feature film. Here are some of the photos he's posted, along with others I came across. You can read and see more about the location, finding the house and journey he and Elijah took with his appearance on Ant's Twitter.
:: I've been to Fantastic Fest three times, and one of the things I love most is that festival attendees can get to know the people behind the films with Q&As. Directors, DPs, actors... Now the Alamo Drafthouse is extending that privilege to all their theaters, starting with Come To Daddy next month, where Elijah and Ant will be in attendance. Read more abut this change at Variety.
:: 20 years ago this month, Ian McKellen reached New Zealand to being working on The Lord of the Rings. He kept a journal during that time and now he's shared it with us. It's filled with his personal experiences and lots of photos, so go take a look at his blog, The Grey Book.
:: I finally got to see the film Daniel Isn't Real and it's everything and more that I've been reading about. Emotional, trippy, creepy... all the juicy things SpectreVision excels at. If you're a big horror fan, the movie is up for Best Limited Release at Fangoria's Chainsaw Awards, so hop on over there and place your votes.
:: Lastly, you-know-who's birthday is right around the corner, so if you have your artworks, poems, greetings or videos, send them in!
That's all... for now.

After nearly a year of festival screenings around the world, Come To Daddy finally has a trailer! I read one analysis of the trailer, and while they got some things correct, there's so much more they didn't. This is a testament to director Ant Timpson's desire of successfully not revealing too much.
:: The poster for the film has also been dropped and the release date has been set for February 7th in select theaters, VOD and digital formats.
:: The early part of 2020 will be busy for Elijah. There's yet another convention he has been slated for. This time he's doing a little pond jumping and attending the Liverpool Comic Con in March.
:: Romina sent in her lovely wallpaper in observance of Elijah's anniversary this year.
:: 2019 is soaking up its last day, and it's been a very exciting year for Elijah. He along with his partners at SpectreVision are truly a company to be reckoned with. Their films, Mandy, Daniel Isn't Real and Color out of Space were great successes with the latter in the works for a possible H.P. Lovecraft trilogy. They also produced, 7 Stages to Achieve Eternal Bliss.... and their latest, Archenemy, is currently filming. They expanded their parent enterprise, Company X, to Company X Marketing. Elijah and Daniel soared to the top of the podcast world with their series, Visitations, by stepping into the homes and workplaces of the likes of Mike Flanagan, Taika Waititi, Ana Lily Amirpour and Guillermo del Toro.
Elijah's film Come To Daddy made its way around the festival circuit, picking up many accolades for the story and acting while Elijah became a daddy himself! He also marked this year and celebrated his 30th anniversary in the industry. There's not too many actors around who can claim that milestone at the age of 38.
My annual year end video covers more of appearances and photos this past year and it was a hard one to complete with an antiquated computer. Still, I got through it and despite the complications, it's a bit longer than the previous year. Click on the graphic below and enjoy!

Now that the year is winding down, the activities are doing the same. But there are a couple of things to catch up on.
:: Seems that I missed another reunion with Elijah, Sean, Dom and Billy. They are also scheduled to appear at FanExpo Dallas on March 28th and 29th. With no other announcements pending, this is the first convention with them next year spilling over to April in Calgary and Orlando.
:: I also neglected to post some audio recorded at the Rhode Island Comic Con Q&A Elijah gave during his visit there last month.
:: Lastly, a recent photo from Instagram that came with the caption, "Big shout out to Elijah Wood for finishing his breakfast. Ready for round two?" Apparently the Grizzly Manor Cafe serves up some enormous eats!
That's all... for now.
