Thanksgiving went fine, probably because I was at my MIL's who means well but isn't the greatest cook so I didn't over eat. Now my brother is a great baker and made me Pecan Cheesecake and it was to die for! I ate one piece, froze it so I wouldn't be tempted and brought it into work Monday...whew that was a close call as I really wanted to eat it all. The only thing I missed was the sweet potato pie.

I don't have a recipe for the cheesecake but here's the link to one. My brother's crust was homemade with brown sugar and ground up pecans added to the grahm crackers. http://www.cdkitchen.com/recipes/recs/1391/Butter-Pecan-Cheesecake93424.shtml
My own sweet potato pie recipe is hard to follow because I made a lot of modifications to it so don't really follow the actual recipe that much. I bake it longer at a lower temperature than is called for. With mine, I add more brown sugar and less eggs.( my recipe calls for 5). Here is a link to one that looks similar.

Thanks for the holiday wishes mumi! I hope you had a good holiday as well. I've been spending most of my time over at LJ (and with R/L ) but I would love to start posting here again. Cheers to Deenan and Cristiel for doing such a great job re-vamping the site!
Hi to everyone else! I don't think I've met Elizabeth yet, so hi and nice to meet you! Feel free to PM me and tell me a little about yourself

It would be great if people started posting here again; I used to come to this site first, even if I wasn't posting comments. It seemed like fun and everyone knew each other so well.

Hi everybody!
I'm quite shocked at the lack of activity here. Unless you are all meeting in another thread that I don't know about, I'll just guess that everyone is very busy with the new year. Oh yeah.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
I am almost perpetually locked out of the comments box, and I know not what to do about it. I have begged Lucy, Deenan, and Brenda to help me. I believe they have tried to, but were unsuccessful. So, does anyone have a suggested next step that I could take?
Anyway, because I am locked out of the comments box, I must reply to it here:
Thank you baggens, Ed P. Celebrian, pop, and carol-m, for wishing me a belated Happy Birthday. Bless you all.
So, if you guys are meeting in some other thread, please let me know where via email. Thanks in advance!
Hugs and Kisses!
