Quote from: Yeux de bleu on July 16, 2006, 11:31:55 pm What's really pitiful is that instead of being worried about the contents of our freezer or something like that, I was worried that I would miss new pics of Elijah, and not be able to get online at all.
I'm glad to see you say this, Kathleen, because I've been thinking about all the pics that will be posted of ELF that I'll have to track down after I get back. I'm as hopeless as you.
FMH...have a wonderful vacation. I'm sure you will. Yours was the first post on the second page. I wonder what page we'll be on when you return. Celebrian is going to be surprised when she gets back from her trip....she doesn't know about the new thread. But I think she'll find us.
|
Yes.......... she won't recoginize the place. and you are so right.... wonder what page it will be when I return? Page 50? Love you all and be well and safe. An early HI to Rose, Celebrian when You all get back! Oh one quick note. I've turned so many people onto Hooligans and they all love the movie. It's so cool!

Quote from: Yeux de bleu on July 16, 2006, 11:45:45 pm Deenan, would the MoJo site have the sales figures? I get notices from them, but haven't seen GSH mentioned. I don't know if they track DVD sales at their site. |
i think box office mojo for some reason stopped ranking dvd sales. weird. but the last thing i saw of a dvd sale chart from them was in 2003.
depending on where you look, GSH can be ranked as high as #5 out of 340 or #538 out of 110,000.
i'd say the best place to look is the billboard charts. i don't have a subscription for that, and it cost $20 bucks for the year. sorry, but no can do.
it's nearly 2:00am and i'm still here. what for? finding that info for yeux, and still drooling over the new elijah pictures. elijah in italy on a boat sailing away on some gorgeous waters. remind me again why i'm not there?
hasta la vista baby

Hi! We were gone all day yesterday so this is my first time here, in our new squat! LOL It's lovely already and I'm proud to be part of it! Jim asked me yesterday when I started here and I told him November. He couldn't beleive it was less than a year! I have a way for nosing in, don't I? LOL
We went to the beach yesterday on the spur of the moment. We love our spur of the moment beach trips and take them year round. This time we went to Huntington Beach State Park, my favorite of beaches! It isn't developed and has on the grounds, Atalaya, the 1920s winter home of American sculptess Anna Huntington. I grabbed my camera and trusty tripod and went on a photog holiday! It's a GREAT place to shoot! It's really a small castle and the windows are TRULY wonderful.
Here are a couple of shots. More will be in my lj in a bit. These are clickable thumbnails to save our dialup friends frustration.

More later. I need to clean bathrooms soon...Yesterday was so much more fun!
Hugs, Rach

Hello hello everyone! Looks like this place is getting more populated. It will be especially nice when those who are away return.
I found out today via an *urgent!* email from a fellow Elijah fan that Gogol Bordello will be playing in Charlotte, NC (just a couple hours south of me) on August 8th. Of course she and I are gonna go! Lijah or not, I must satisfy my GB curiosity once and for all, lol. The only trouble is that it is a Tuesday night, and work will be awful the next day, I'm sure!
I wonder if I can take the next day off and maybe work that Saturday to make up for it...

just stay as far away from the mosh pit as possible lith. people have been maimed in those things! but you should have an awesome experience. to me GB is totally a stage band. i've never seen anything so outrageously wonderful in my life.
the last time i saw them, i had to work the next day, and i paid for it. i half thought about going to the after party, but eugene didn't know where it was going to be, so why wait around to find out?
the heat index here today was 102 degrees. lordy it was hot!...and still is.

Rach, yes, you shouldn't neglect those bathrooms. stop being a beach bum and get working. it really does sound like you had a fun day yesterday. i love your pictures.
Deenan, you were up at 2am? press the off botton and step away from that machine. will you be requiring a curfew like Yeux?
frodomyhero, have a great vacation!
Lith, GB is playing as part of the Warped Tour with a bunch of other bands. i don't think you will be able to see them in all their glory that way. but you will get a taste. you may want to ask Deenan about that, because she saw them on the Warped Tour.
i have lots to do. salmon for dinner. Husband is laptop shopping. i may kill him with a spatula.
edit - well, i guess Deenan answered the GB thing
