OK, so I've been watching Jurassic park a lot lately and I've always loved dinosaurs and this came to mind.  If dinosaurs could be re-created today, should it be done?  Give reasons for your answers

For sure, then people could see them in purpose built safari parks. Plus it would just be great, wouldn't it!

I voted no.  I believe that man and dinosaur were separated by 65 million years for a reason.  I hate to use a movie quote but it's what i think so it's not void "Nature selected them for extinction".  I think it would be immoral to re-create any creature that was naturally selected (rather than a creature that went extinct due to man/deforestation etc.)

Hell naw!

Dinosaurs are like giant reptiles and reptiles creep me out! And dinosaurs are dangerous and I totally agree with Vicky on the natural selection.

The world is too small now a days to fit these giant creatures in together with men.

To be honest, I think I'd just be too scared.  So I voted no.   Natural selection wiped them out, so let it stay that way.

answer one: no...you know what would happen of us whimpy human people brought back the dinosaurs? i die, you die, we all die, BYE BYE!

answer two: if we happened to bring them back...(somehow)...and if we found a way to not be killed...(somehow)...then, yes, it'd be wicked!

this is a good, cool question! i have two answers to this...basically, yes and no. haha.

I've read Jurassic Part and seen it too many times to believe that it actually would work to bring dinosaurs back to life.

This is an interesting topic! I voted 'yes' because I believe if this were to be done it could only be made possible by a team of highly intelligent, professional scientists. Humans grew to what they are due to their superior cognitive skills and deserve credit for what they (we ) have accomplished! If dinosaurs were to be recreated, it would be under intense supervision and control. There is no way it would be allowed to get out of hand. If I remember right, the Jurassic Park story is based on a team of scientists that are independently supervised. This would never be allowed to happen! It would be a testament to the human race if we were able to accomplish something so amazing! Plus, it would be a great chance to learn about something that we know very little about. On the other hand, the issue with recreating them is that they would more than likely be quite different from what they were when they 'ruled' the Earth. The air we breath is much different then what they had grown accustomed to, there is no way they would be able to survive. Just like if you were to bring a caveman to our time, he could not breathe our air and would more than likely get very sick. So in preparing Dinosaurs for our atmosphere it could change them completely and ruin our experience of them completely.

I suppose it depends! This is a really cool discussion though! I like reading what everyone has to say. I must remain the optimist and believe that it is both possible and a fun idea. But that's just because they were so cute
