neighbour noise

Thought I would make this a topic so I can discuss this with others who may be going through this.
My neighbour upstairs has been ok but last night and lately again she still keeps stomping around with her big heavy shoes on, its really loud through the ceiling,it was new years eve hast night, up until after midnight, all i could hear was clomp,clomp,clomp.
then i woke up at 8 am this morning and the shoes were at it again. im so fed up with it.I feel she doesnt listen and doesnt care.
ive already asked her about it. this morning i feel exhausted as i cant sleep with that stomping shoes, who wears shoes after midnight anyway???? ridiclous.  so much for my lie-in on new years day. 
she hasnt been too bad since I asked her before about the noise, her kid is noisy sometimes too.
Anyone else have problems with noisy neighbours?

Well, my housemate is complaining lately about the people who live upstairs. They hammer a lot...  Also, the walls in our apartment are pretty thin, so I can hear basically everything. Yeah, it can be annoying.
Anyway, that woman seems weird, why DOES she wear shoes at home?? But maybe it was only that bad because of New Year's Eve. I wish you the best, anyway

It may just be because it was new year and also the floor may be quite thin and this may be causing the noise to feel louder. Hope you get a lie in soon hun

I know what you guys mean! I live in a dorm and the walls are like paper thin! One of my neighbors I never hear, but the other one, I hear all the time! I hear every single conversation she has, every tv show she watches, and every song she listens to! She always seems to be loud when I'm either trying to go to sleep or do school work, too...

my neighbours are all retired. they are old peoples.  if it makes you feel any better, my neighbours think me and my family are nuts, haha.

yes ... that neighbour noise make me angry too.They always listen loud music and don't think other people.So I am trying to be patient !!!! ...
