anyone here believe in ghosts?
I do, cos I seen one when was younger.
Plus, what else happens when you die and are stuck in limbo, it makes sense really.
look this.. of 3 men and a baby

is said to be the apparition of a deceased person, frequently similar in appearance to that person, and usually encountered in places he or she frequented, or in association with the person's former belongings. The word "ghost" may also refer to the spirit or soul of a deceased person, or to any spirit or demon.[1][2][3] Ghosts are often associated with hauntings, which is, according to the Parapsychological Association, "the more or less regular occurrence of paranormal phenomena associated with a particular locality (especially a building) and usually attributed to the activities of a discarnate entity; the phenomena may include apparitions, poltergeist disturbances, cold drafts, sounds of footsteps and voices, and various odours."

wow what a terrefing topic. it made me feel scary from the titel only. sweetie I do believe 100% of ghosts and I have heard lot of stories about them. but thank Allah we have words if we say it every time we sense them they will not heart us more over they will burn. I hope I do not see any of them on my life because my heart is so soft and I can lose my mind if it was threatning very much. I mean some thing above the voices do get the meaning.

love is the life gift therfore it is hard to have and hard to give to any one but for the one who have a true and kind heart the matter is easy.

Disclaimer: This is just my opinion.
I believe that we are all ghosts, just some of us happen to currently be wearing a nice little outer covering made up of carbon, water, nitrogen and so forth.
I have met people who have died before and came back through the miracle a drug I don't know for sure but I think its atropine. It's not epinephrine but it starts the heart up. Maybe it is atropine+epinephrine. Any nurses in here?
Anyway the point is they remember what happened in the room around them. I met another guy who died and said it was beautiful and he saw Jesus.
Plus if you think about it. The human body is mostly water 70% or so. There is also electrical energy in the brain and heart that make it function. Water carries electricity. When a person dies it is either heart or brain death. But electrical energy can not be created or destroyed right?
So ok, what happens to that energy?
It's no longer in the body right? But it's not destroyed either.
Every major religion in the world speaks about human souls.
My belief is that Souls+ Body= (matter +energy) = those of us typing in here. Souls without human bodies (just energy) = ghosts or spirits or what not.
That's what I think anyway.
And yes the three men and a baby thing was really freaky but I saw an urban legend buster about it and it was a cardboard prop from another movie.
My belief is that if souls are energy the form of energy won't take on the shape of matter.
Ok, so I'l stop here before we talk about matter being energy, and the movie what the bleep do we know, It's just my little pet new age physics theory anyway.
I could ramble about this for days because if you take it one step further the whole planet is basically water. And electricity travels in water right?
Anyway
Y'know..food for thought.

Even though I am a sceptic generally, I admit I once lived in a flat where there was unexplainable freaky goings-on.
Like for example, the kettle turning on by itself and the water boiling BUT the power-point wasn't switched on at the time, hearing someone calling my flatmate's name but when I checked there wasn't anyone there and hearing chairs moving in the middle of the night when noone was up.
But the worst and freakiest thing that happened was in the middle of the day. In the upstairs flat where my younger sister lived with her friend, a portrait of two of our friends (that my sister had drawn and which was stuck on the fridge) spontaneously burst into flames while we were all just standing around in the kitchen chatting!!!
We girls called in some Christian excorcist-type guy to check the building out and try to get rid of the spirit, if there was one and it kind of worked. The paranormal activity wasn't very bad after that, but all my friends and my sister ended up moving out and left me there by myself . I was kinda scared sometimes at night but I stayed for another 6 months.
I haven't experienced anything like it either before or since so I don't think I'm psychic or anything.

Quote from: Miss Sixty on March 21, 2008, 01:09:55 pm That actually is a cardboard cut-out of Ted Danson, it's plain to see, the cut-out is actually seen later in the film when Sylvia tells Jack she's taking Mary to London. It is from a minor sub-plot from a commercial Jack (Danson's character) did for dog food as mentioned in the party scene early in the movie.
Quote from: Miss Sixty on March 22, 2008, 05:46:23 am I also read that the film but also that a young boy shot himself in the house they were filming in and the producers knew this they got it cheap and that is why he was there cos was that room he died in. Plus you see a gun first then the boy.
|
Actually, the film was shot on a sound studio, they didn't use any house to shoot the interior for the film. And it's a cane you see, not a gun.

This has nothing to do with my beliefs on Ghosts, I could be wrong on that as could anyone.

He is clearly wearing a tuxedo with a hat.

And here is the cut out, which as you can also see, is not the same height as Mr. Danson.

I don't believe in ghosts, when you die, you die. That's it, nothing lingers around, you don't pass to some other place, you're gone.
And that 'ghost' in the film... why does it appear to be solid? I thought the viw of ghosts was all whispy and transparent? I vote cut out.

but ghosts are certainly not always transparent taf
Apparition: A ghost you see or in some way sense near you. These ghosts have been reported as solid, transparent, an odd fog, a face in the fog, or even a sound, a feeling, or a smell. Crisis Apparition: A ghost that appears to let someone know that danger or death is about to befall a loved one. Reported as being a solid, or transparent ghost.
see so yeah you can get solid ghosts.
I believe in ghosts cos if you died before your time or tragically you will want to haunt that place you died. If u know what I mean.
