I have one more reason to dislike Christmas: food, loads of delicious food. A month of diet folowed by 2 days of plesure. All my effort was in vain. I think I`ll go have another cookie now .

For me it was fun but now I`m starting to feel guilty. I lost some weight the last few moths and I was starting to feel good; I was happy about the wight loss and about the change of attitude. I stopped with the killer diet (aka starving myself for days) because I realised I wasn`t getting anywhere but I didn`t go back to eating like I used to. Now before eating I stop and think if I really need it( if I`m really hungry) or if it`s just the bad habbit of eating all the time. I managed to get some control on my body and my head(cause that`s where the pb is) and eat only the food my body needs to function not the food my head wants. Unfortunately these few days I totaly lost control and ate like a pig and its going to take a while before I get back on track.
And I`m back to 28 (jeans size) when I had managed to reach 27. Damn it!

I know what everyone means. Since the holidays started I have ate more than ever. This week is even worse. I over stuffed myself yesterday with dinner and desserts and OH BOY! Today just sitting and watching tv is killer on me. I have ate all day long. I am so stuffed I can't eat no more but somehow I keep going to the kitchen for more D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S DESSERTS!!!!!

Oh Mary, you totally made me laugh! How right you are!!! Let's add Buckeyes to the banned list too.
Over Christmas and New Years I tried to be relatively good, but did allow myself to enjoy the holiday treats guilt-free. I think it worked...although I ate like a pig...I have dropped some weight. Tomorrow I will weigh myself and I am hoping to see about a 5lbs loss. Here's hoping!
Don't fret, folks! I am sure everything will settle back into normal after all those tasty goodies are gone. Heh heh!

Hey what happened to everyone here, guess that means things are going great weight wise for everybody.
I've been making myself eat 3 pieces of fruit during the day at work which works pretty well because by the time I get home, I feel so full. I try to eat an apple or pear around 2:00 or 2:30 and that keeps me full for a long while.

Wahoo! ROMNEY! So glad to see ya pop back in again. I began to think I was the only still working on my weight. It was getting loney.
Sounds like your plan is working quite well. I try to each 2 fruit and 3 veggies a day...and it really curbs my cravings for sugar.
I am still working out and doing weights to help tone. The body is slimming down...even though the weight is a little slower. Lost only 3 lbs last week...but lost 3 inches off my "2nd stomach" (above my abdomen), 2 inches off my hips and 2 inches of my bust. So it is working slowly, but surely.
With the veggies & fruit and the exercise, I am feeling pretty strong and healthy. Can't wait to see where I am in another month.
Bye for the moment.

Since my girls have been home for the holidays, and both are back at school, we just kept baking and baking and I've gained so much weight. Really, I wish people wouldn't make so much about FOOD during the holidays I went swimming yesterday and plan on going after I write this. Been good with breakfast, I eat egg whites and pepper with fruit, so I'm getting protein to start the day and gentle fruit. What is NOT good is when I get home from work - I'm famished. Romney- that is such a GOOD IDEA about the fruit. I'm going to try it. When I get home from work to dinner is the worst part of the day because I just want to EAT - waiting and watching food being prepared is so hard to not try it as one makes it. so.... I will try your wonderful idea this week and get back to you. Thanks

Hmmm...no one's been here for a while. FRODO did you try the fruit thing & did it work? I'm still trying to do it and don't know why it's such a struggle to eat 2-3 pieces of fruit per day.

Hey Romeny! Yes, I am eating applesauce in the morning, then fruit at the end of the work day, then a glass of orange juice at night. It seems to be working but I haven't seen any weight loss yet. I'll let you know. How are you doing with the loss program?? GL

I'm stuck at my weight which is 5 lbs higher than I want it to be but I'm not worried because I'm still in the same clothing size, I've been exercising more and lifting weights a bit.
I also try to do at least 30 mintues of stretching each night which is toning I think. The stretching is the hardest of any of the things that I do for some reason, probably because I'm too stiff. The payoff for me is that I feel better in the mornings.

I've started going to aerobics on a Monday night. It's hilarious. I'm so bad at it. But it's a work out. I need to exercise more. I'm getting podgy, I eat too much rubbish. Keep trying to eat better, but the chippy over the road is far too tempting. lol

Today, one of my coworkers told me they thought I was looking good and could tell I lost weight. Guess it must be working. I am not due to weight myself and take my measurements until the end of the month...so maybe this time I will see a bit more weight loss.
I added butterfly kicks, sit ups and a couple other abdomen expercises to help firm up my belly. I think I killed myself the other day...my back muscle on the left-hand side of my back is killing me. Ok...maybe that is an exaggeration...but I definitely strained it. Geesh...maybe I should have started those extra exercises.
Still struggling to eat my 3 veggies and 2 fruit a day. Love those fruits...have a tough time with those veggies...but I will soldier on anyway.
Keep trucking everyone! Nice to see a few more people posting again.
