I don't think God has a gender, because I don't particularly agree with the Christian vision of God. Yes, that makes me a bit of a rubbish Catholic, but there we go.

Then why is it  " Father " (,son and the holy spirit it is I guess)

I would think it's Father because those prayers were made by men, written by men in a world governed by men. We transfer our own ideas and situations onto god. Like if women were in power, the prayer could be to a 'Mother'. That's just how I think of it.

Yeah.. I agree with you... But it's a waste of time o discuss that... nobody knows the real deal so nobody can prove it... It annoys me how people can claim they're right... * No offence

No offence taken, I agree with you. I believe what I believe, other people can believe what they believe. It should be a personal thing, nobody can know who's 'right', if there even is a right. Anyhoo, must stop discussing.

As I have mentioned before I don't personally believe in God but for the sake of this discussion I'd be interested to hear what he/she/it/they thought of 'the big bang theory' and actually what they thought of about the growth of science and technology in general....

My most important question fo r god is: Why do you make some people suffer so much?

other questions could be:
Where do we go when we die?

What's the mening of life.

Do you really love all people, even terrible criminals?

I don't understand the thing with the dinosaurs.. There we're no humans yet, right? But how is that possible, if God created us on the 6th "day"? Were the days in that time like years? I never understood that. I don't believe in the Big Bang... I guess it's just like what happens now: Weather changes and the Dinosaures died because of that....

The comedian George Carlin wanted to ask God "Can you make a rock so big and powerful that you yourself can't move it?"

I don't believe in God. But hypothetically, it would probably be when will the seventh series of Seinfeld come out on DVD in Tasmania?

WHY GOD CREATED CHILDREN (AND IN THE PROCESS GRANDCHILDREN)

To those of us who have children in our lives,

whether they are our own,
grandchildren,
nieces,
nephews,
or students...
here is something to make you chuckle.

Whenever your children are out of control, you can take comfort from the thought that
even God's omnipotence did not extend
to His own children.

After creating heaven and earth,
God created Adam and Eve.
And the first thing he said was

"DON'T!"
"Don't what?"
Adam replied.

"Don't eat the forbidden fruit."

God said.
"Forbidden fruit?
We have forbidden fruit?
Hey Eve..we have forbidden fruit!"

"No Way!"
"Yes way!"

"Do NOT eat the fruit! "
said God.

"Why?"

"Because I am your Father and I said so!
" God replied,
wondering why He hadn't stopped
creation after making the elephants.
A few minutes later,
God saw His children having an apple break
and He was ticked!
"Didn't I tell you not to eat the fruit? "
God asked.

"Uh huh,"
Adam replied.

"Then why did you? "
said the Father.

"I don't know,"
said Eve.

"She started it! "
Adam said.

"Did not! "

"Did too! "

"DID NOT! "

Having had it with the two of them,
God's punishment was that Adam and Eve
should have children of their own.

Thus the pattern was set and it has never changed.

BUT THERE IS REASSURANCE IN THE STORY!

If you have persistently and lovingly tried to give children wisdom and they haven't taken it,
don't be hard on yourself.

If God had trouble raising children,
what makes you think it would be
a piece of cake for you?

THINGS TO THINK ABOUT!

1. You spend the first two years of their life
teaching them to walk and talk. Then you spend
the next sixteen telling them to sit down and shut up.

2. Grandchildren are God's reward

for not killing your own children.

3. Mothers of teens now know why

some animals eat their young.

4. Children seldom misquote you.

In fact,
they usually repeat word for word
what you shouldn't have said.

5. The main purpose of holding children's parties

is to remind yourself that there are children
more awful than your own.

6. We childproofed our homes,
but they are still getting in.

ADVICE FOR THE DAY:

Be nice to your kids.
They will choose your
nursing home one day.

AND FINALLY:

IF YOU ! HAVE A LOT OF TENSION
AND YOU GET A HEADACHE,
DO WHAT IT SAYS
ON THE ASPIRIN BOTTLE:

"TAKE TWO ASPIRIN"
AND "KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN"!!!!!

Yes they can. Many (what seems like) eons ago, many scientists still believed in God (I speak of the Abrahamic God-usu. some form of Christian). I believe (but not 100% sure) it was around the turn of the 20th century (1900s and such, maybe a bit before or after) when scientists began turning to atheism/agnosticism/some other nontraditional faith. My biology teacher in high school was a Christian. Usu. referred to God as "My Father". Would puzzle the class sometimes, but I knew what he was talking about.  All they have to do is put things into context. IMHO, science and faith can coexist-just depends on what you choose to believe for yourself personally.

If I could ask God a question, well, there is no IF, lol..I could, buuut, for the sake of the game, if I could ask him one question, I'd ask *rubs chin*:

Why must staying healthy be so hard, lol

I figure that since God made man "in his image" that ... God looks like a man. lol.

I think I'd ask God why he didn't just destroy lucifer and the fallen angels when they fell, instead of sending them all to earth. I'm certainly not God, and I could never understand his reasonings, but I think if I had been in his shoes, I would have just said something like, "SATAN GO BYE-BYE." and watched satan disapear. That's just me, though! lol.

Stop reading my signature. Don't deny it. You're reading it. I can see you. You're giving it the casual little once-over. How rude. Didn't your mother teach you better?
