Sad news...

Yesterday, my mom's cat had to be put down.
Her name was Katy and she was 25 pounds. She was really funny because she would come upstairs and meow and meow, then you had to follow her downstairs to watch her eat. Also when we would sit at the table, she would randomly run into your leg. I'll post the picture of when we first got her when I get the chance.
She had to go to the vet because she hadn't been eating the past week or so and it turns out she had advanced kitty cancer. So they put her to sleep.
I'm gonna miss that big kitty.

I'm sorry to hear about your cat, Stephanie. I have a cat myself and she means a lot to me. This must be very difficult for you.

Sorry about your cat.. In 1992 my cat and friend was hit by a car and killed. When I returned from work my neighbour gave me the news. I was so upset. Not long after we got two little kittens from a cat rescue place. They will be 14 in December. But most of all I'm very worried about my 3rd cat Poppy. She came to us in 1994 from a farm. She had a good live and will be 20 years old this year. Here is a picture from a month ago.

DramaQueen, i'm so sorry about your cat. i had to put my old cat to sleep about 2 months ago. he was 17. i had him since he was born. so i know it is hard to go through that. but over time, it may get a little better.

DramaQueen, I'm so sorry. My fish died a few months ago, and it was so sad. I really miss them.

That sounds so sad DramaQueen, especially from how funny and infectious your cat sounds. I used to have the cutest and most precious kitty we've ever had, and her name was Foxy. She always meowed like crazy when she woke up in the morning to get out of her room (the storage room) and when somebody finally went to let her out she came upstairs straight into my room and got right up to my face with her wet nose, almost trying to kiss me. It was weird also because when you'd hold her in your arms close to you (at least when she was sleepy and not a vicious pack of dynamite) she'd stare at you with half closed eyes and lovingly reach her paw out to stroke your cheek. It was so weird. Then we had to move and there was no place in the new house for her, plus it would be a terrible hassle for us to keep her, so we had to give her away to a friend of ours. She's really nice, but she smokes a lot and her house is like a casino or a chimney, just full of second-hand smoke. Foxy's still alive today and going crazy with wild energy at her house, but I would love and wish we got the chance to see her again. We would have, but as soon as Foxy saw the cage there was no grabbing her. She made a cat friend, too. Sadly though, she might get kitty cancer from all the smoke just like your cat did. I really miss Foxy. She was the sweetest cat ever.
Here's a picture of her.

Plus she has beautiful eyes, she's part Siamese. I just have to show them.

Oh, honey, like everyone else said, that is so sad. I also know what it's like to lose a pet that's really special to you. I know this is quite difficult for you. *hugs*

Blue Star, your cat is so cute! That must've been sad to give her away, I hope she's happy in her new home.

 Thanks Taf!
