absolutely!
this is one humongous universe and i don't think we are the only ones here. and i've seen some strange sightings i can't logically explain.

Thank you all for posting  it's good to hear your opinions.
In my case, I do believe we are not alone...i honestly don't believe that the other billions (and counting) of planets are there only for decoration

A little friendly advice: Don't see War of the Worlds!!
I for one certainly don't think that, if aliens were to come down to Earth, they would be either hostile or try to take over the planet. (That's more like something WE would do if we found another habitable world - try to make settlements there and push the dominant species out of the way. We've been doing it for centuries down here, after all.)

Heh. Yes, I know what you mean. However, I guess we would never really know for sure. Maybe they'd be nice, and maybe they wouldn't be. Let's hope they'd be nice, though.

My dad has seen a UFO right above him  So has my mom the UFO followed her car I a haven't seen one and I don't plan too

What you think about a movie about aliens is just an opinion. You don't have to try and stop people from watching a good movie. War of the Worlds doesn't really have anything to do with this.
I agree with most of the rest of you. Right now to think that we're the only intelligent life forms is like thinking that the earth is flat like back then, or that the solar system revolves around us. We need to open our minds to other things out there, and I think we're doing that.
There are so many galaxies, separate solar systems and suns and planets that work the same way ours does, so why should there be any reason that there other life forms aren't working and evolving in the same kind of way we are? That's kind of a freaky thought, but what's stupid is to assume that the other intelligent life forms clear across the universe must be mutilated monsters with huge brains and lazers and weapons of mass destruction. Infact that makes them pretty dumb.
One thing for sure is that they're never gonna come over here.

haha - I believe you misunderstood me. My apologies. I loved War of the Worlds - I saw it twice and I want to go back at least once more before it leaves theatres. But Kari said she was afraid of aliens to begin with, so I offered my opinion that seeing that particular movie would do nothing to fix that for her. Understand?
