Quote:| I never really liked him but the man seriously needs a sane publicist to tell him to keep his mouth shut. All this stuff about Katie Holmes is creepy but fair enough if he's in love with her. But that criticism of women who take drugs to help with post natal depression was a really stupid and insensitive thing to say. |
Agreed. Until Tom has a baby, he needs to be quiet.

Xenu and the Space Aliens: The lies and deception behind the Scientology space opera
The lies and deception behind the Scientology space opera If you are interested in learning about the lies and deception that surround Scientology's beliefs, this is for you. If you are one of the few people who are considering Scientology, this will give you a brief view of their cosmology and help you decide if this is a group you wish to be associated with. And, if you are already a Scientologist planning on moving up the "bridge to total freedom", this document will give you a heads-up on what to expect.
L. Ron Hubbard was a mediocre writer of science fiction and westerns who decided that real money could be made in religion.
Scientologists might say that the story that follows came about by something like divine revelation but others would contend that it came about from the over-active imagination of a poor and struggling science fiction writer. Whatever you believe about the stories origin, it is the core belief in the group known as Scientology. This story is only revealed to Scientologist after they have paid a lot of money over several years and reached a "higher level of awareness". If the people in Scientology at the lower levels knew about this story, maybe they would question why they are staying on the Scientology treadmill. The story goes like this:
To read the story go here: http://www.holysmoke.org/cos/xenu-space-aliens.htm
Are You full of Dead Space-Aliens? http://www.skeptictank.org/hs/dsacscul.htm
Many Scientologists who have left from the highest levels of Scientology have said that they have sat in a room at Scientology's Sandcastle building in Clearwater, Florida for 5-7 hours per day for up to 10 years, holding two asparagus cans together, attached to a primitive lie detector, talking all day to these dead space aliens. And guess what? You'll never ever finish talking to dead space aliens until you leave Scientology.

The little green men from Mars seem nicer to me now after reading about Xenu and his invasion.

Sorry Frankie81. After I read the story I starterd to think at what level Tom is in Scientology. He must be at OT3 where he has learned about the alien cosmology.

He believes in aliens (something that has no real proof of), and his religion has no proof either, what the hell is that? His religion doesn't make him qualified to say that, seeing as how the whole things a sham.
The thing with Brooke Shields, all he was saying is that she shouldn't have masked her problems with medication, etc. But instead deal with it without those things. The media is taking bits and pieces of the interviews showing them and making him look bad. But I do think that he has no right or no actual experiance to say the things he did about depression. I'd like him to bust out a kid, get no sleep at night, while being depressed (while being confused about why you're depressed after having a beautiful baby too). If any of you saw her on Oprah last month, you'd understand the pure hell she went through. Visioning her baby dead, bloody, and her jumping out of a window to end it all. I'm sorry, but vitamins and exercise won't help that. Funny site with the Oprah thing, I saw that on the T.V and I actually picture the lightning bolts too!
He's always been like this. He's just been quiet over the years, and now its all coming out. Whether or not Katie has taken in Scientology, I don't think she's doing it because she really believes in it. Tom got someone from his Scientology church to go to all the premiers and travel around the world with the two. Anyone else see a bit of force and brainwashing going on here?
Thats an amazing site you posted Etaeb. So many dead for a religion, and its just really creepy.

hahaha, took the word right out of my mouth. i don't know why people call that a "religion." what "religion" requires you to have a certain amount of money to be able to "join them." that sounds more like a cult than it does an organization of God.
i've never really liked him much, he needs to get a reality check.

Postpartum Blues is very serious disease, and Brooke Shields is great to give all the women this important info. Men like Tom Cruise don't understand what happens in a woman body when she is expecting. Women must know this disease until a tragedy happens. See the cases of Susan Smith or Andrea Yates; they turned into monsters due to postpartum blues(both killed their children).

Hmmm....I usually avoid the debate threads but this one caught my attention. For once, I agree with about 99% of what has been said, even by a couple of people that I usually have the opposite opinion of (I know that last sentence was not quite proper but I only have ten minutes so I am not going to try to figure out the right way to word it.). After my first child, I struggled mildly with PPD. I did not need medication but I know some women do and I don't think Tom had any business being critical of Brooke. If he had simply stated he is against medication for depression, that would have been one thing but to actually say her name and say she was "irresponsible for promoting it" was uncalled for.

Quote from: Idril of Dorthonion on July 05, 2005, 09:51:04 am Do you know what I do find so sad? That Tom Cruise and Katie are making their lives become a show... that´s awful. Tom is a very talented actor, at least in my opinion, and he has no need to behave in such a childish way...
