Spoiler...
The only scene thats "before the crash", is a flashback that Jack has of him in the plane, getting the liquor, and he talks to that black lady, and when he stands up Dom, Charlie, flashes before him.. running to the bathroom... to do what I wonder?
| i was wondering that as well..because that means that when the plane crashed, he was in the bathroom....and when they go back to find the transistor thing, he goes to the bathroom again, but he never said what he was doing...
|
MAYBE he never actually got to DO the drugs before the plane crashed...and MAYBE he wanted to find the cock pit so he could GET the drugs he LEFT in there! Jesus talk about dedicated!

I just watched it again (i taped it) and after Jack has his little 'flashback' of the accident, and he is just standing there and the people behind him are talking about the monster- one of the ladies ( i think the one he did CPR to) said "it sounded really familiar" (or something along those lines)
I found that kind of strange..

I loved it!! I had 4 friends in my dorm room and one of my friends and i freaked everytime he cam on the screen!
Spoiler! Dom was so cute when he was singing and talking about his band...oh God when the thing blew uo behind him I was like, "Dom you dumbass" but he looked so doscombobulated and cute!
I loved it personally and I don't think the dog could have been the monster but he might have something to do with it. But didn't the father and son say something about a dog or something?
Oooooo the oreintal guy was CRAZY! When the had the subtitles I said to my friend (who also loves LOTR), "Can't I watch Dom in something without subtitles?" Haha!

Ug.
Okay guys. About the whole dinosaur thing. It's not.
It's not even a real monster, you will never actually see this thing in the show.
It's a figment of all the character's imaginations.
The director, J.J Abrams explains all of this in an interview.
It can be found on this site, or at the official Lost site, or perhaps on bagendinn.com... I'm not sure.
So quit worrying about it being a dinosaur... It's NOT!

Ha! I knew it wasn't a dinosaur. But it sort of spoiled it now. Actually, I thought it was a big anaconda haha! But, I did consider it being a figment of their imgaination. Strange how they all think the same thing though. *feels blonde*

Well.. there is some kind of monster on that island.. A figment of the imagination does not knock down trees, and chew a man up and throw him in a tree. But it's not a dinosaur. And it's not the dog (though the the dog could have something to do with it, I just don't know how yet).
I thought it was really well done. The characters are developing nicely, and I like the sense of mystery that still surrounds everything.
And for those of you predicting a 'Jurassic Park'-like show, I think you're wrong. J.J. Abrams created the show "Alias", too, and if you've seen that, you'll know he loves to throw his viewers for loops. He loves throwing plot twists in all over the place, so that once you think you've got it figured out, something huge happens to blow all your ideas to pieces. He's not the kinda guy to put a dinosaur into such a psychological thriller as this.
I remember reading that interview that Cat mentioned, where he said we're never going to see the 'monster'. He says there is a monster there, but after a while it's more a psychological thing than a material one. Which is cool.
Now.. onto Dom. He was good; I like his character. But he's hiding something. In all the interviews, Dom says Charlie has a "secret". Being a druggie? Not sure that's a big enough secret. Plus, if he was running to the bathroom just to smoke or sniff his drugs, why were airline officials chasing him? I'm beginning to think maybe good ol' Charlie had something to do with the crash. Dunno what, but something.
Can't wait til next week!
Oh.. any 'Alias' fans here? I am (obviously).. I love J.J. And if you noticed, both Weiss and Kendall from 'Alias' were in 'Lost' this week. Haha. The guy who played Kendall is the weird orange peel guy who liked the rain. And the guy who plays Weiss had the tempoary role of the pilot. Heh.. I was kinda sad when he died, but that means he can go hurry up and work on the next season of 'Alias' now. Heehee.
