this is a half hour special and it seems like i've been waiting months to see it. judging by the way elijah handles penguins, this should be a good show.

Well, it was a very nice special, very informative. Elijah did a very good job, even if he did get "nailed" by a penguin again and in the same placeas he was Saturday morning, too! That's because he holds them that way, of course. He must consider penguin poop a fashion accessory by now, poor thing. LOL
It wasn't the same style as Meerkat Manor. It was a bit more "documentary" like, maybe because it was for kids. When you see it, be sure you watch to the end because there are some little "outtakes" during the credits with E that are rather funny. Best oart of the show, I thought.

*sigh* It's hard to hear about this show and have to just sit and wonder if anyone will be able to put up a downloadable clip. I don't have the option for watching it or taping it. Maybe I'll be really lucky and Overlithe will be able to tape it; at least that way, I know I can eventually get it.
Good luck Rach, in getting it up somewhere yourself, or finding someone to host it.

sorry guys, but this had to be moved seeing there was already a thread for it.
anyway, the show was great. very informative and it makes me feel good that there are wonderful people out there who will go out of their way to help these penguins.
the ending outtakes were great. elijah doesn't impress those penguins. he does get bit.

oh, i get practically everything! for me, what's the point of having cable if you can't see everything? some of the best channels are the ones for discovery.

I didn't realize I'd actually be seeing his face from time to time. I thought he'd just be narrating over clips the whole time. The show was pretty good to watch.
Is it sad that I liked him a lot more as himself? My favorite parts were the interview and the outtakes. Of course, the whole penguin rescue story was very inspiring and amazing. It kind of gives me hope in other people.....

Thank you so much for the links.
I've been a supporter of IFAW for over 20 years, so it was great to see some of their conservation work on film.
