Quote from: **NiX** on May 27, 2003, 04:18:13 am I watched the DVD last night....... It was a good movie, but I was hoping for a bit more "action" from Elijah, don`t get me wrong.... but it was a bit drawn out at some parts, I actually got bored... BUT then, Elijah popped in and then out ...
Put it this way, it wasn`t the best movie he`s acted in... but it was good (That`s my opinion, don`t be mad )

I agree, I rented the movie last week and It's a good movie and I love all the parts with Elijah , but I expected a little more Elijah scenes. And I hoped there would be some more action.

I rented that movie a couple of weeks ago. I never would have rented it normally, but elijah was in it.
I have to disagree with the group, I hated it. It was boring, drawn out and violent. I won't watch it again.
The only 2 good things about this movie were Elijah and the soundtrack.

THANK you, crzy4elijah! Lol, finally, I don't feel like such a dork for not liking it! It WAS violent.. but I just found it more boring than anything. Sure, Elijah was yummie. But otherwise.. pshh, not worth watching another time, if you ask me.

I rented it last week, and I think it's a good movie. But I expected a bit more of it; more Elijah scenes and a better plot.

i liked it. it took a while to get into the real story. In the beginning he was just like "Sean's dead-shut up". And he knew all along that Sean was in his apartment. It was still very good though. Francois is a shitty brother for sleeping with Sean's wife though. What an asshole!

I watched this movie a month or two ago. I didn't care for it. I thought it was boring and violent and I won't watch it again.

There was another topic about this movie a while back. And I'll stick to what I said there. True, Elijah looked yummie in this movie, but otherwise, I downright hated it. The plot was dragged on far too much, and it was quite violent and, in my opinion, very boring. I don't think I'd watch it again, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't. Plenty of people absolutely loved it! "To each his own", right? Lol.

Yea, I feel kinda bad, but I had to stop it like 1/2 way through because it seemed to be going really s..l..o..w. I got bored. Did anyone else feel the same way? My goal is to watch every single movie he's been in, but I just couldn't enjoy this one fully.

Well, I haven't seen Ash, so I can't really comment here, but as far as I understand, the only really worthwhile part of the flick is where Lij is confronting Ed Burns about f*ck**g his wife.

I have it among my DVD collection and I have watched the whole thing. And when I feel the need to see Lij get forcefull I turn on the part where Francis tells Sean (Lij) that he really f***ked up by coming back, and Sean basically tells him to f**k off because the guys Sean shoots were out to kill Francis because of his f**king gambling debts. The movie was gritty, and slow moving, a typical Ed Burns vehicle. The part that I don't get is Sean's greeting to the wife he hasn't seen in 3 years. Sort of blah. In a dark van, he hugs her and meets the son he didn't know he had. Could have been better. But this was Ed Burns movie. Not Elijah's. Another Indie movie under Elijah's belt that will disappear eventually. I can appreciate his desire to do Indies, but why is it that the majority of the movies he has done disappear? Or go directly to video. Like Try 17. Black and White, Chain of Fools, and The Bumblebee Flies Anyway. I don't get it. But it's his career.

EW has the luxury/integrity to do roles which interest him...not just those which will be a Hollywood success...
