I mean i liked it alot, I thought it actually good in the sense that it made me see more clearly the events and feelings of the day....being rather young at the time. Sure it wasn't the greatest film ever...but it was very far from the worst I have ever seen.

apparently they didn't see the same film.
guys! bobby was nominated for 2 golden globes this year!
best motion picture (drama) and best original song (never gonna break my faith)
happy feet got two nominations as well, but i'll post those in the happy feet section. elijah must have happy feet now. 2 films being nominated in the same year!

i've so far avoided reading any and all bobby reviews, although the wait is not easy and i'm sometimes tempted to read on but so far i've resisted.. 
that's wonderful about the noms, dee! elijah must be really thrilled!

that is new. i've never seen it before. i'm sort of glad they didn't use it. the other one showed the movie has something to do with bobby kennedy.

i don't know if this was already posted but i think i found the bobby dvd date. from rottentomatoes.com is march 20th 2007.

remember, the weinsteins have made it exclusive now that you can only rent any of their films through blockbuster video. i believe you can buy their films anywhere though.

it's been over a week so i'm posting again.
bobby picked up a SAG (Screen Actors Guild) nomination today for best ensemble cast!

I don’t know if anyone has posted this already, but there’s a small article about ‘Bobby’ in the February UK edition of ‘Empire’ magazine (page 18). The article has quotes from Emilio Estevez describing how he assembled some of the cast members.
Elijah is mentioned in the section about Lindsay Lohan:
“Lindsay’s agents kept pushing her. I’d heard horrible stories, so I said, ‘Is she interested in being thought of as a serious actress? Because this schedule can’t support anybody misbehaving’. They assured me, ‘Yes, she wants to meet with you’. So I called Elijah and said, ‘I need you to come to lunch today’. I wanted another opinion, especially from the actor who would be in most of her scenes. It ended up as a love-fest. We laughed, told stories, she understood the script and the role and was committed. She left, and Elijah and I looked at each other and said, ‘She’d be fabulous.’”
There’s a picture of Lindsay, but not one, unfortunately, of Elijah.

Does anyone know a site where they show the release dates? I want to know when "Bobby" is coming over here! I'm very excited to see it!

you can check out IMDb. they have a listing of the countries a particular movies will be showing in. just type bobby in the search menu and look for release dates.

EDIT: Just checked the website and Bobby is released here on January, 18! That's in a few days! I hope I'm able to see it next weekend!

I saw Bobby for the first time last night.
It had impact but falls short of the message of RFK........ I wondered what the message of the movie was. Of course Elijah was great in it. Anthony Hopkins and Harry Belafonte could have been edited out and it would have been the same..... Ashton Crusher's character was so weak. It didn't need that or come up with another way to interpret that sector of the populous then... and thne there was the ending.............. I'll leave that up to all of you ........ I left crying..... which I knew I would if I ventured in to see this,.
Enjoy anyone who goes to see it. Bring handkerchiefs.
