Quote from: Solskie on November 11, 2007, 10:27:33 am Yeah, it was GOOD. Did Lij really fall down that flight of steps? Was that him? |
LOL! it wasn't elijah falling down the stairs. it was a very good stunt double, though i think elijah could have done the task easily without being hurt.
Quote:Anyone know how to save files on this? I still haven't learnt how to convert these things to able it to play on something like Windows Media Player. |
i don't know why you want it to play on media player if it already plays with VLC, but there is a converter i use that is very good. it's called cinemaforge. it's free to download and fairly simple to use.

i hope this helps you.

I saw it! PJT was easily the best film I've seen in ages....all the segments were really good, but Elijah's seemed to stand apart a little to me...maybe because it was shot at night and kind of supernatural...Someone should make a silent movie and have him in it. Great!
Nice to know that wasn't him falling down the steps though! Ouch!

I loved PJT, the boy with the big school bag was so cute and I liked Elijah's part a lot too, it really stood out and I want to get the soundtrack too!

I loved that section, it was amazing with all the sound effects! I also liked the one where the man was cheating on his wife and then she turned out to have leukemia, and also the last one, with the American tourist. That was a great closer. I'll have to see if I can get it on DVD!

i just saw this movie tonight...i've been dying to see it for so long. omg, freaking brilliance. whoever came up with the idea to get all those famous and amazing directors and actors should be given an award...or at least a hearty hand shake. i LOVED it!
Elijah's scene disturbed me. it was cool and really creative, but so gross. lol! i was waiting for it to come on the entire movie...i'm glad i wasn't disappointed by it.

double post...sorry.
just letting everyone know that a sequel to this movie is in the works, called "New York, I Love You." same premise, different city. i don't think Elijah's in this one, but Orlando Bloom is scheduled to be, along with a bunch of new actors/directors/producers etc. and rumor has it "Shanghai, I Love You" will be next in the series. it's meant to be an on-going anthology, hitting major cities across the globe for years to come. should be an intersting project to watch progress. i'm excited!

It IS a great movie, isn't it? I bought the DVD because of Elijah being in the film, but I was VERY pleasantly surprised by the entire film. Loved it. I thought it was a brilliant idea.
I've heard about the subsequent films, too, but as you said, nothing about Elijah being in "New York, I Love You." I'm glad Orli is though. They have a good lineup of directors and cast.

I hadn't planned to buy this due to Elijah's part being so small but I have a couple of other movies to buy from Amazon and the 2-disc version sounds interesting. Do we know if there's more Elijah in it?

you should buy the film. yes, elijah isn't in very much as are all the actors, but the film is wonderful! i'm glad they're making a second one for new york.
i just watched an interview elijah gave in cannes during press for PJT, and in that, there was mention of a film to be made in new york. it's funny, but i never paid that much attention when the interview was first given.
it's being tossed around that elijah is in the new one, but nothing official yet. in fact, according to IMDbPro, neither orlando or elijah are listed.
