Be yourself. Let who you are, what you are, what you believe, shine through every sentence you write, every piece you finish.

I do love that bit with galadriel in the FOTR - when she says ' Even the smalllest person can change the course of the future'. It was used on the ads and it stuck in my head...maybe cuz I'm not all that tall myself!

Yeah, that's mine too, along with Gimli's "Nobody tosses a Dwarf!" and "That still only counts as one!"
I also love it when Legolas continues counting as he's shooting.

SAM
"Do you remember the Shire, Mr. Frodo? It'll be spring soon. And the orchards will be in blossom. And the birds will be nesting in the hazel thicket. And they'll be sowing the summer barley in the lower fields... and eating the first of the strawberries with cream do you remember the taste of strawberries?"
FRODO
"No, Sam. I can't recall the taste of food... nor the sound of water... nor the touch of grass. I'm... naked in the dark. There's... There's nothing. No veil between me and the wheel of fire. I can see him with my waking eyes."
SAM
"Then let us be rid of it...I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you"
Love it
Elizabeth

Well, I have quite a few as well. I don't see where this has to be either book or movie, so a couple from each.
"Don't leave me here alone! Don't go where I can't follow." Sam ROTK (movie) TTT (book)
Sam and Frodo's speech that ends with "I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you! COme on!" Sam and Frodo -ROTK
This is my favorite of both the book AND the movie.
"But even as hope died in Sam, or seemed to die, it was turned to a new strength. Sam's plain hobbit-face grew stern, almost grim, as the will hardened in him, and he felt through all his limbs a thrill, as if he was turning into some creature of stone and steel that neither despair nor weariness nor endless barren miles could subdue." Sam- ROTK
I love this one, too. I call it Frodo's Commission to Sam, for in Sam's life in ME, he does all of this, just as Frodo said he would.
"Your hands and your wits will be needed everywhere. You will be the Mayor, of course, as long as you want to be, and the most famous gardener in history; and you will read things out of the Red Book, and keep alive the memory of the age that is gone. so that people will remember the Great Danger and so love their beloved land all the more. And that will keep you as busy and as happy as anyone can be, as long as your part of the Story goes on."
There are really too many to name, but that will do to be going on with.
Hugs, Rach
