I tried to save the Shire, and it has veen saved, but not for me. It must often be so , Sam, when things are in danger: some one has to give them up, lose them, so that others may keep them. Sam: What we need's a few good taters. Smeagol: What's taters, precious? What's taters, eh? Sam: Po-ta-toes... boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew.
Haha. And on a more serious note:
Frodo: What are we holding onto, Sam? Sam: That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo... and it's worth fighting for.

This will help us get back on track....I think this is a good time to mention Gandalf's quote: "So don't all who see these times. But that is not ours to decide. We have to decide what to do with the time given us."
Kinda fitting, Veronica don't ya think?

Mmm all of the quotes you have listed are beautiful! And I would have to agree that some of my most favorites are in there.
But, what about the book? =)
Here's a little bit. Thank you wikiquote! (And these are just a few parts from Return of the King.)
Frodo to Sam: I tried to save the Shire, and it has been saved, but not for me. It must often be so, Sam, when things are in danger: some one has to give them up, lose them, so that others may keep them. But you are my heir: all that I had and might have had I leave to you. You will be the Mayor, of course, as long as you want to be, and the most famous gardener in history; and you will read things out of the Red Book, and keep alive the memory of the age that is gone. so that people will remember the Great Danger and so love their beloved land all the more.
Sam: Though here at journey's end I lie in darkness buried deep, beyond all towers strong and high, beyond all mountains steep, above all shadows rides the Sun and Stars for ever dwell: I will not say the Day is done, nor bid the Stars farewell.
More Sam: 'I'll get there, if I leave everything but my bones behind,' said Sam. 'And I'll carry Mr. Frodo up myself, if it breaks my back and heart.' He knew all the arguments of despair and would not listen to them. His will was set, and only death would break it.
Faramir and Eowyn: 'Éowyn, do you not love me, or will you not?' 'I wished to be loved by another,' she answered. 'But I desire no man's pity.' "Do not scorn pity that is the gift of a gentle heart, Éowyn! But I do not offer you my pity. For you are a lady high and valiant and have yourself won renown that shall not be forgotten; and you are a lady beautiful, I deem, beyond even the words of the Elven-tongue to tell. And I love you. " AHH, SO ROMANTIC!!
Gandalf: Well, here at last, dear friends, on the shores of the Sea comes the end of our fellowship in Middle-earth. Go in peace! 'I will not say: do not weep; for not all tears are an evil.'
And of course, my Sam: Well, I'm back.

I've read through nearly all of your fave quotes, and they're brilliant I just remembered a quote from the Grey Havens scene:
I will not say, do not weep, for not all tears are an evil. - Gandalf
I think this quote says so much

Hi
My fave quote is
Sam "What's wrong?"
Frodo "It's just a feeling, I don't think I'll be coming back"
Sam "of course you are, that's just morbid thinking wer'e going there and back again just like Bilbo did"
Something along those lines.. Out of The Two Towers.
