I'm sure you're right, if the Elijah fans don't complain. I hope we can keep this here, though, for general conversation.
What do the rest of you think?

General conversation that's not about a thread in this section (his family, pics, old movies, etc.) should probably still be in the Sean Discussion thread in Random Clubs. At least that's the way I see it....IMHO.

It sounds like a good idea; Sean sure has a lot going on these days. I don't remember so much activity involving him since I've been coming to A & F.

Well, we had hardly anything last year, once he finished his run on 24, so I think we're due. Now several movies and the Watchbird thing all seem to be out there at once. What bothers me is that I'm not seeing where he has signed for more films. Of course, that's the way it is with Sean sometimes, you don't find out until the very last minute for some reason.

I just found this wonderful quote about TFS.
Q: Really, the movie is lovely. But you don't set out to make a movie like this unless you think there's an audience. A: Everybody who has seen this movie, including those at the Tribeca film festival, has come away saying, 'What a wonderful movie. It's beautiful to look at, wonderfully scored.' And everybody says, 'Why don't they make more movies like this?'
THIS sounds like a movie I will enjoy, Sean or no Sean.
Hugs, Rach

I can't wait to see it again; I wonder if they will change any parts of it when it's ready for full-release.

That's always possible, especially if they get feedback on parts. Are there parts you didn't like?

I can’t think of any parts I didn’t like but I think they could have developed Kent Stock (Sean’s) character more and focused on his personal motivation in taking on the job that he did. I thought the role was a bit too low-key. I also feel too much time was spent spotlighting the former team without an equal emphasis on the new team who really had the more difficult task. I'm hoping there were scenes they held back or cut that can be added in for the theatrical release.

Gosh! I'm surprised they spent more time on the old team than the new one since the NEW one was the one playing for most of the movie. That doesn't make sense.
I'm not sure I uderstand what you mean about Sean's role being low-key? I thought he had the starring role.

Actually to understand the town’s motivation in wanting to play one more season at their home school, the dominance of the previous teams HAD to be shown, I just felt that they didn’t spend as much time developing the new team.
Sean does have the starring role but it was truly an ensemble cast and I don't know that he had most of the screen time. Stock made some major life changes in order to take this job because he was a conscientious individual who was committed to this town, but he also had to be a dominant, intense, hardnosed individual to accomplish what he did and the movie just doesn’t show that side of him.

Hmmm. That's interesting. It's the very first negative thing I've heard said about the movie. I'm REALLY anxious to see it now. Yes, I think they COULD change things before wide release. They've had enough time.

Uh Oh! I didn’t mean it to sound very negative and was just responding to your question about changes I would make. It’s still a good movie with no changes.

Oh, I didn't mean it that way. I've just heard nothing but high praise for it before.
I guess we'll have to wait until it comes out to see.
Maybe the dvd release will have deleted scenes?
