When you were giving the description as to what the film was about I actually thought about 'Rudy'

LOL I can see how you might, but this is very different. This time, he's the coach of a team playing what they know is there final season (the school is being closed). He has to instill in these boys, and the community the will to continue to play to their utmost ability when they know there will be no more baseball for them.
This character is very different, the story, instead of being about one young man, is about how that one man inspires an entire town.
THis one also has a love story for Sean!
Hugs, Rach

Not keen on love stories...I get very jealous of teh women
This film does sounds very interesting! It sounds like a great role for Sean too. And there are two scene from twi Sean films that make me believe he will own this role.
Needless to say, you want to see it Rach?

Needless to say, you want to see it Rach? All the orcs in Mordor couldn't keep me away. I have seen or own almost everything he has ever done.
Sean has a number of projects coming out next year. The Final Season is only one of them.
BTW, which two scenes are they?
Hugs, Rach

The scene in The Two Towers when he's talking about 'The Great Stories' (when the Ents save Gandalf & co.
And in Dish Dogs he always manages to make me cry
I don't actually own that much of what he's done but I am a big fan

I have several rules in my life. One of them is that if Sean Astin cries, I cry. SNORK
It's because he cries like a GUY - he cries like my husband cries. That gets to me.
If you're interested in info on Sean, check out the Sean thread in Random Fun Stuff. Hugs, Rach

No, I guess not, lol. I would love to hear the story about Patty's star, btw.

Adult Mack and Sean with Patty when she got her star on the Walk of Fame.

There's a cute story hooked to the star. I'll tell you some time.
Hugs, Rach

That one. If it's not to much too much trouble, that is. Btw, I love your siggy. *is reminded of The Road Taken at Untold Tales* Oh, and I like your rule about always crying if Sean cries, lol. Except for me it's more that way with the other Ringbearer... Hope your headache goes away. :/

Ok, I'm caught up now. Patty wouldn't have it if it weren't for Sean.
Patty had been offered a star for many years but had always turned the opportunity down. Something about the idea that people would walk on it and "Spit on it" bothered her. One day, she was walking down that street with Ali, when Ali asked why she didn't have a star. She shared her fears with her granddaughter who responded, "Oh no, Granny! They wouldn't spit on it. They'd remember you!"
That touched her in some way that got her over her fears and she was able to accept the star.
Hugs, Rach

Aw, that's so sweet! (Ali seems as nice as Elanor whom she played. ) Thanks for sharing. Whenever I go to the Walk of Fame after this, i'll have to look for her star.
