Oh my god, choosing just one is torture! Of the ones you've mentioned though I think I'd have to go for the one at the end of Fellowship, where they hug in the boat. The grey Havens is beautiful, and I still cry loads when I watch it, frodo's smile back at the hobbits is heart-wrenching! And where Sam pulls him up from the Cracks of Doom - "Don't you let go!"
There's another scene though which I think is my no. 1 favourite Frodo/Sam scene though, and it's near the end of the Two Towers. It's where Sam is talking about whether they'll be put into songs or tales, and says that Frodo was the bravest of all hobbits, and Frodo turns around and says that he's left out one of the chief characters, Samwise the Brave, and that "Frodo wouldn't have got far without Sam." I really love this scene. Frodo is so sincere in his gratitude for Sam, the way he looks at him and says that is just so moving.

Merry Madam, I totally agree with you on these two. And no matter how many times I watch ROTK, I absolutely can't get through the Grey Havens without Kleenex.

Ah, it's like one mind! lol I really feel strongly about the Grey Havens scene, I actually rarely even listen to that piece on my soundtrack because even hearing the music makes me well up! I love it, it's a beautiful scene and one of my favourites, but at the same time it isn't one of my favourites bacause it's so hard to watch! Does that make sense to anyone? I cry so much every single time I see it! And I feel really emotional for a while after the film is over then! it's an ordeal! But I still love it...oh I'm confusing myself...

Very good point! The last few times I saw ROTK in the cinema I tried to keep my tears in check (still cried, mind you!) but when I watch it at home I sob and sniffle away to myself! Glad you understand what i meant in that post, I knew what i wanted to say but couldn't explain it properly! My excuse is that it's late here! 2:38 in the morning to be precise! Have a crappy thesis chapter to write, yawn! I wanna go to bed!

I'm writing a bit, then hopping back here, for a "break", cough! Can't go to bed, it's due in tomorrow, my bad, haha! Just have 300 more words to go, then gonna type it tomorrow! That's the plan anyway, what will actually happen could be very different, lol! But you're right, I should leave the forum for tonight, might get finished quicker! Byeee! xxx

Ya know, thinking more about this moment made me realize this was one of my favorite Frodo and Sam moments as well. The scene is so understated and done so naturally, it's easy to pass over. But to me that scene is very significant of the relationship between these two characters.

Thank you for the great siggie, Deenan!
