OH yes, how I cried Every time I see it. It was just too much and too sad not to. Everything endet - not only for them but also for us... But then that is also no surprise, because I cry so easily I sometimes wonder if something is wrong with me

There's nothing wrong with you! It's the same with me! I even have to cry when I see some scenes from LotR and hear the music....
And this behind the scenes stuff is sooooo touching. Even my husband said that!!!

I guess the cast and crew etc. felt every conceivable emotion under the sun that day, ranging from sadness to relief, joy and pride just to name a few ... and the great thing is that we got to experience it with them, sort of. It was very emotional, partly because I knew this was the end. All year I looked forward to the EE but when it arrived there was nothing more to look forward to, except the Bleepers - Bloopers but what we have to remember is that this experience ended for everyone involved in this project a year ago and we did only see it now. Life does go on and fortunately we have the DVDs so we can watch the movies and commentaries over and over and over again.

I'm a weirdo. I did not Maybe because I owned the DVD and I could watch it as many times as I want.
But I missed LOTR movies on the big screen

It was a very personal, emotional moment for Elijah and Peter and the rest of the cast and crew that was there. I thought it was "nice" of them to let the rest of us in on such a personal, emotional and intense moment in their lives. I can't imagine the mix of emotions they were all feeling. They would all be leaving each other and that was very sad, yet they probably felt some relief at finally being done.
You aren't weird, Charlotte. We all respond to things differently. There is nothing wrong with NOT crying.

I've just watched ROTK and cried. It wasn't the first time i saw the movie and it wasn't the first time i cried.I just can't help it when I see Merry, Pippin and Sam crying. I still think of Middle Earth and began to feel that i am a part of it as an Elf. It's hard for me to keep my feet on the ground today.

I have to admit that I did get a little teary at this part. I full-out cried when Theoden died and that was the only time, though it was tear-inducing to see the parting of the ways and all that. I wasn't that sad when Frodo sailed off, because it seemed to be the right thing for him, and...I dunno, it just seemed realistic, but not too depressing. I don't know if I'm making sense here so I'm just gonna stop.

I tend to cry all the time when films get too sad. My fear was so intense that I couldn't manage to go to the cinema to watch ROTK at the cinema. I wasn't able to cope with the thought Frodo being cought by Shelob and him sailing off into the West. I had to wait for the DVD to come out.

Not only did I really cry about it, but I was amazed at how life imitated art and vice versa, it was like an unscripted movie scene almost! I just can't help but be stunned at what these people experienced in real life making those movies. It makes me wish I was a part of it.

Alright .... you all are saying so much - i'll say what is in my heart ..truly.. since it is coming onto Valentines day .. this is my gift to all of you ... from my heart..this is my story.. When Frodo went into the Grey Havens. I wept and wept and I'm weeping now as I write this because you see PJ lost both his parents as he was making this movie and in the end as Frodo was sailing to the Grey Havens that image, well that was heavenly. Both my parents are dead too and when my mother died , the night she died she came to me in my dream and the sky opened up and the light shown on the sea and she floated across the sea and the light carried her and she said good bye much like the image of Frodo and then the light took her across the sea only she went to the east and then she went into the light and she was gone and just like the "sea calling to us" it did to her. She was a sailor and was a boatman all her life and we lived on the sea and she was buried at sea....... So when I see this image all I know in my heart is that it truly is heavenly and PJ must have gotten this image from his own life experience and his personal loss because it is so real to me... as an orphan too
