gandalf the grey or gandalf the white?

i know they're both the same wizard at heart, but there are some distinct differences betweenthe two gandalfs. gandalf the grey is calm and relaxed, galdalf the white is considorably more grumpy (hehe!) and much more serious.

I prefer Gandalf the Grey simply because he seems more fun loving and has a bit of a mischevious streak. A subtle wisdom, the kind of man you'd underestimate, at your own cost.

gandalf the grey...all they way! grey is more like a wise old cranky grandfather, and i love that about him.

Gandalf the grey. He's funnier, he became to unhuman when he turned white. Plus his beard looks funny when it is white.

Gandalf the grey most definitely
More humour, more human (although he's not!!)
He laughs more and appears more relaxed than Gandalf the White.
We only see Gandalf the White laugh at the end when Frodo awakens.

I think I prefer Gandalf the Grey, simply because he seems more mischievous. (Sorry, can't spell). Plus he runs around lot more...I dunno. Usually I like strict characters but something about Gandalf the White simply doesn't resonate with me.
Ah well. Grey it is!

But I say Gandalf the Grey. Just because. Um, maybe just because I think the grey beard suits him more... Yes, I'm very superficial. But you asked for a decision and since I love them both... For the reasons you all have already listed above

I love them both, but i would have to say Gandalf the white. i dont really know why, but i guess because he seems a lot more powerful, and pure in all white hah

Hmm. That's tough. Gandalf the White is much more powerful, and can accomplish a lot more. But I'd still have to go with Gandalf the Grey. He was still very powerful and wise, but, as has been said, G the Grey had a more grandfatherly feel to him. And I like that. He wasn't all business all the time - he left some time in there for pipeweed, afterall. Heehee.

Like most people here, I'd have to say Gandalf the Grey because he seemed a lot more care-free and like a grandfather, opposed to Gandalf the White who was really powerful and really deep into the war of Middle Earth.
