SOmetimes, techology requires imagination. I guess that's what I like best about it. When I tried to convert the tape of Sean from last night to digital form, my computer decided otherwise. It seems that the new video card I installed doesn't like my input ports. So I had to use what little brain I have. LOL
Luckily, while I'm not particularly smart, I am VERY imaginative. LOL I just played the tape on my tv and took video with my camera. the quality is not my usual standard, but it's sure better than nothing.
Here ya go, Sean on last night's Genesis Awards. It actually took place in March, I don't know if you will be able to tell, but I thought he looked and sounded exhausted.
http://cyberrach.net/Seanongenesis.wmv Enjoy! The cat we lost in Spring of 2006 looked JUST like the one on Sean's lap.
Hugs, Rach

I moved the entry to it's own thread in Other Lads and Ladies. I'm not sure where it should be but a mod friend said it might be more seen there.
This is available on dvd, and should be fairly inexpensive. Try Amazon.com.
It is a REMARKABLE film and very much a departure for Sean. It isn't like any other part he's done, really.
Hugs, Rach

Queen Celebrian just emailed me the info on a new project for Sean in the UK.
DO any of you across the pond know anything more about this?

I just got back from picking up the book at the library. Also my lj friend, Belleferret, came up with this quote from Sean.
"I'm honored to be given the chance to make the part of Twoflower my own, starring in a fantasy tale that has captured the imagination of millions of people around the world," Astin said.
She didn't give a link to go with it. The book describes Twoflower as "small and skinny". That explains Sean's recent dramatic weightloss, I suppose.

Hmmm...that looks interesting; I'm not at all familiar with this series. They describe it as a "live-action/CGI project" so I guess it also has real actors? Sean is certainly doing a lot of different things. (btw have we heard any more about TFS Rach)

I'm working on more WTDTY, hopefully by tomorrow.
But bad news, too. Sean has cancelled his appearance at DragonCon. That's it for my chance to see him in person. The tickets are non-refundable so I've lost my chance to meet him AND almost $200. My husband's going to be mad.
I'm glad Sean got this job in England, but I hate that he had to cancel because of it. Glad I hadn't bought plane tickets.
Hugs, Rach

Oh Rach, how disappointing; I know seeing Sean meant more to you than the money...really too bad. Sigh, we're always glad to hear these guys have work lined up but it's a shame their convention appearances aren't seen as work as well. It doesn't seem fair for them not to refund the money. You might want to write to someone about it to see what happens.

Well, I just talked with my daughter on the phone and I DO feel better! There are TONS of other actors coming, including the Phelps twins who play Fred and George Weasley in the Harry Potter films. We've decided that, since we can't get the money back, we'll go see them and just people watch. This con has a reputation for attracting the greatest number of..ermmm... reality challenged fans. Laura and I will have a great time, anyway, and we'll make sure the money for the tickets won't be wasted.
I'm not dead, and neither is Sean. Maybe another opportunity will present itself.
Hugs, Rach
