Because I’ve noticed a lot of “MOVED:" threads, I figured I should explain some ways to effectively use the Pictures section. Bear with me! --> Request only pictures of Elijah. If you’re looking for a picture of Elijah with Orlando, that’s fine. However, if it’s simply Orlando you’re looking for, then visit the Other LOTR Lads area. --> When you request a certain picture, try to use this format for the title: Pic Request: [Insert quick description here] The reason why many use this format is because they are more likely to get a response. For example, if you had a picture of Elijah with a toga on, and you saw two threads called Help me find this picture and Pic Request: Elijah wearing a toga Which one would you be more likely to visit? It would save you a lot of time to just go into the thread that says exactly what it is about, rather than click randomly and wait for the page to load… only to find out the person is asking for a picture you don’t have. --> If you’re looking for a picture of Frodo Baggins, please ask in the LOTR section. --> Please do not make a habit of direct-linking photographs unless you've uploaded them yourself. It uses up others' bandwidth and if they're pissed off enough about it, they will upload nasty images to replace the ones you stole off the site. (This was originally posted in the Be Wary of Google thread.) Now, these are just tips for using the Pictures board.
