I found this interview on the german side of Sean Astin.
I have tried to translate it, but my English is not that good, so if someone wants to correct something, no problem:
Q.: Some time ago, you mentioned, that women make you have fear, is that the same today?
Elijah: It is funny, everyone is asking me about that, but it is a long time ago, that I said that. But ist not true anymore, In contrary I feel very comfortable being together with women.
Q: Is there one lady, where you feel special being together?
Elijah: Yes, my girlfriend, she is working in the music business, but that is all I want to say about.
Q: Not even her first name?
Elijah: No, honestly, I cannot. I have to protect the innocent.
Q: Is this caution based on the experiences you had with the paparazzi when you were together with Frank Potente?
Elijah: That was not that dramatic, but it was the first time, that the press was interest in my relationship and that was new for me.
Q: Do you have already contact with Frank?
Elijah: Of course, We are still friends, even if she does not live in LA anymore. I have talked to her recently. Franka didńt like LA that much,. It can be very hard/strong town, if you are a stranger. It is another thing for me -I grow up there, familiy and friends and the job, everything is in LA, I love this city..
Q: But you wanted to studyEnglish in NY City?
Elijah: Yes, but then the work intervened. So my studies then were LOTR.
Q: Do you have already contact with the other hobbits and elves?
Elijah: We try to meet whenever we are in the same town. We phone with each other on a regular base.We are something like a big self-help group.
Q: What was so fascinating at the role of Jonathan , the writer in EII?
Elijah: The famous writer from NY meet a young guy from Russia.And together they are going on a mysterious journey.This Jonathan is a bit strange, but only a bit.
Q: We thing he is crazy. Are there similtaries between him and you?
Elijah: No!: But perhaps the obsession for collecting..
Q: What do you collect?
Elijah: Oh many things. I started with action figures. And now CD and records.I have a huge collection, many thousands.I dońt separate myself from things that easy. Concert tickets or things that I find, I collect as long as they have a meaning or remember me of something important. But not arranged, in a jumble.
Q: Which music do you chosse for a romatic tape for your girlfriend?
Elijah:Some classics like Al Green, Elvis Costello, Patsy Kline, Aretha Franklin, Prince...much soul,R&B, and jazz. Then some Pop songs of the Beatles and the Kinks. Dońt get the wrong expresion: There are many obscure music in my collection
Q: But one can you hear “live”?
Elijah: Yes every second tuesday. My friend Jason and I are Djs at the bar “The Bar” in LA on the Sunset Boulevard.
Q: Another music qusetion: You will play the music legend Iggy Pop in a movie?
Elijah: Yes and that wońt be easy. First I have to work and do sports, because Iggy has such a muscular and stringy body. He is in such a good form, it is unbelievable. And I have to do lessons in playing drums and guitar.
Q: Have you met Iggy?
Elijah: No, but I am a bit anxious.He is a real icon.But like any other fear I should face this one directly.
Has someone ever been to that bar in LA and seen him being the DJ?
And I am happy that there no bitter feelings between him and Franka Potente.

Sabine, thanks sooooooooo much for that interview and I think you did REALLY well on the translation, I'm sure it wasn't easy. 
Is this magazine still in the shops now?

Well, Sabine....you have nothing to apologize for. Your translation is wonderful. Thank you so much for doing it.

Woohoo! We've all been wondering about this. So he's going to work out and get all muscular.  And he must be absolutely thrilled at the thought of learning to play drums and guitar.
I can't wait! *dances, jumps up and down, spins in circles*

Now that is going to be a very interesting meeting. I wonder what Iggy will think of Elijah. I'll bet he wins Iggy over....just like he does everyone else. We already know Elijah said Iggy is one of his idols.

I don't think so. I'm sure they would have written about it at A & F if they had.
And I am happy that there no bitter feelings between him and Franka Potente.
Me, too. It's so much better to remain friends than to be bitter.

I think Primula (or was it empressaurelius) once went to see him DJ at "The Bar" but he remained "hidden" behind a curtain all night.

Wow!! Nice interview!! Thank you for translating for us, Sabine. I'm glad he and Franka are still friends. I think that is the correct way to finish a relationship, but in many cases that's impossible to do.

That was a great translation! Thank you for this Sabine!
Although one little correction: I think when you translated 'already' a couple times, it meant 'still'. Like does he still have contact with Franka or the hobbits. 
But nice job!  Some great new information, WOOT!

Thanks Sabine. That's a great interview. And you did a great job translating it.
Yes! He's going to work out, and learn to play drums and guitar! I'm really looking forward to this movie.
Oh, and sorry Elijah, but I think most people know who your girlfriend is. Or at least it would be very easy to find out. But I can see why he wouldn't want to name her specifically.

Although I hope he doesn't burn too much body fat when he works out a lot. He hasn't got a lot to spare.

Thanks so much for the interview! You did a really good job translating it
Now I'm dying to see that movie - does anyone know when it comes out, and if it's going to be a wide release or not? None of the limited releases are ever in theaters close by - I never got to see GSH or EII 
That article also has inspired me to work out - I haven't done anything for months 
And I would love to go to that bar in LA

Although these things are usually done some months in advance -- the median is three, I think. So it COULD be going on soon, or even now.
I would think that if they could, they would aim for a pre-Oscar release date.
