| I've never met anyone either.. until now, I guess. Well, uhh... *thinks* Maybe it'll take you the second book to really get into it like (seemingly) the rest of the world. But I guess you don't want to take that chance, eh?

I need to add another book to my list from earlier, First Rider's Call . It is the sequel to Green Rider by Kristen Britain and it was very good, intense, I had extreme difficulty putting it down but it was very very good.

Quote from: SolskjaersGirl on July 06, 2003, 01:24:17 pm I can't really say what my fav book is, cos all the books that I read I believe effect me in some way... but here's some of the books which I think is really great... - Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. - A Fine Balance by Rohinton Mistry - Chocolate by Joanne Harris - The Diary of Anne Frank- Anne Frank - The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien - His Dark Materials- Philip Pullman - Fall on Your Knees- by Ann-Marie McDonald.
|
If you like Chocolate by Joanne Harris you might also like 4 Quarters of the Orange, I love that book, and would recommend it over and over.

My all time favorite book is "Memiors of a Geisha" by Arthur Golden, I have heard reports of a movie being made and would love that, but the book is still a must read. Golden writes so poetically, and the story really makes you believe in life, believe in your self, an believe in true love. I read it at a young age, but it still remains one of my favorites, and I have probably read it 10+ times. Another one of my favorites is "Poisonwood Bible" by Barbara Kingsolver, I don't like any of her other novels but this one is a classic, and so well written, I can relate to it, mainly because I too have relationship issues with my father, and it just spoke to me, the whole book is fantastic, and it may be long, but every page is worth reading over and over.
