lotr was not as difficult to read as I expected, I think because I'd heard a lot of people say how hard it was I'd built it up in my head that I'd find it really difficult, but I didn't. I read the books after I saw the films though, so perhaps that made a difference.

Only one more chapter to go in The Grapes of Wrath.
When I'm not reading tGoW, I've been caught into reading a Fear Street book by RL Stine, Till Death Do Us Part and Garden of Angels by Lurlene McDaniel.
Yes, I happen to read quite a lot. XD

I'm currently reading (among many others ) The Book Thief, by Markus Zusak. And I absolutely love it! It's told by Death, and is a story about a young girl, who also is a book thief, who lives during WW2.
It's a really fascinating story, with many interesting characters and a really special way of being told! It's one of those books you want and don't want to finish at the same time. You want to know how it ends and don't want it to be over yet.
I'll post about it in the other post when I'm done with it!

Marit - I love 'The Book Thief', I'm glad you're enjoying it!
I got a couple of new books for Christmas and I've started on 'We're All Made Of Glue' by Marina Lewycka (who wrote 'A Short History of Tractors In Ukrainian' and 'Two Caravans', 2 of my favourite books ever). It's great so far.

Allie - 'Everything Is Illuminated' is just beautiful - it's one of those books I re-read over and over again. I'm currently reading Jonathan Safran Foer's second novel, 'Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close', which is just as good.
