hmmm... maybe "brandzeichen" is Watchers? That one had the super smart doggie! I don't know, though. I'm also reading Demon Seed, but that one's really boring me... but I'm only on the 3rd chapter. lol

The last one I read is "The Taking". Really awesome, creepy book. Kinda in the style of 'Midnight'

That second one is one of the Chris Snow books. The one that you are describing sounds like, "Seize the Night." Those are some of my favorite books by DK. There's supposed to be a 3rd one coming out soon. I've read about 30 of DK's books. I love every one. My favorites are the Odd Thomas books, Christopher Snow books, False Memory, and the Frankenstein series is really good too (the third and final one comes out in August I believe).

I picked up one of his books on a whim, and I sorta like him! I mean, he can tell a good story, though his word choice throws me off sometimes. I just like a sharper weilding of English, I guess. But I just - I mean, there's something that compels me to read on.
I've only read a few of his books, but I was really intrigued by his Frankenstein series. I have another book of his to read, but I forget the name. I read Odd Thomas which was kinda cool, but a little creepy.

The Husband comes out this Tuesday! I can't wait. I heard that this book already has a movie deal. I have mixed feelings about this, since pretty much all of the movies that have been made from his books were horrid. I'd thought he had given up on movies. I hope this one will be different.
