Natasha!

Christopher Pauloni

*Spoilers*

I was shocked at the ending the new rider - is oh so surprising, lol.. All of Angela predictions come true.  And a bonus - you get to hear what Roran is up to... And he is'nt to happy with Eragon.. Eragon goes through some ... changes, we learn more about Brom, and VERY MAJOR SPOILER

We learn who his dad is, and sorry if I prepped you up and dissapointed - but - what can I say, book is way to good to spoil.

Amd if I had to choose between Eragon and Eldest -- I would choose Eragon.

Oh, Total Geek, I was so excited to find this thread.  I am reading Eldest right now.  My oldest son read Eragon and then Eldest.  Hearing him talk about the books made me want to read them.  So I read Eragon and am half way through Eldest now.  I really like them.  Very hard to put down!  I will wait and give my review after I actually finish the book.

I've just finished to read Eldest! I liked it!.....I prefer Eragon though.......Anyway Eldest is interesting too! The story changes in the last chapters actually.....What's the name of the last episode of trilogy? I can't find it.........and I can't wait to read it! I think the story is quite similar to The Lord of rhe rings......For example the Raz'ac could be the Nazgul, The Empire = Mordor, Palancar = the Shire etc. Perhaps thanks of that I like this story very much!

The last book does not have a title yet, Arya.  That is why you can't find it.    I bet it will start with E, though. I also saw a lot of similarities between LOTR and Eragon/Eldest.  I also saw even a few similarities between the books and Star Wars.  I have not read Harry Potter, but a friend said their are some similarities there, too.  Christopher Paolini is a LOTR/Star Wars/Harry Potter fan so I bet he got a lot of his ideas from them.

Yes, you're right! I think it's impossible for a LOTR and HP fan not make some similarities in the story anyway... I think I have to wait another year to know the end of this story...... Who knows what will happen?

I know what you mean.  I think I am going to "die" waiting to see what will happen.  These books. like LOTR, seem to be for any age group.  My 13 year old son loves them and his 39 year old mama does too.

The first thing that jumped out at me when I started reading "Eragon" (other than how young Chris Paolini was) was how greatly influenced he had been by Tolkien.  I've read all the Potter books, too, but don't see as much influence from J. K. Rowling as I do Tolkien.

Chris says it will be at least two years before the final book in his "Inheritance Trilogy" will be available.

Rose already knows about these sites, but they're great if you're an Eragon fan.

http://www.eragonmovie.com/

There's a third site that's very good, too, but I don't have that one bookmarked.  Maybe Rose does.

Be warned:  The Eragon movie site is very, very slow to load if you're on dial-up.

Amen to that!!  Elfstone tried one day and gave up after waiting forever and a day.

No.  Is it worth the time and effort?  I am nervous about using up too much space in our new computer and have it run as slow as our old one did.  But if it is worth it, I will let Elfstone try again.

Oh yes, it's worth it.

Remember, it's only taking up space in your temporary files when you open it.  It's not stored permanently on your hard drive.  Do you know how to clear your temporary files?  If not, I'll provide another tutorial.

No, I don't know how.    Once again, you come to the rescue of your computer illiterate friend.  No hurry!  And thank you!

It's not TERRIBLE, but it lacked the plot movement of the first book. And it didn't have a lot of innovation. (Why do elves ALWAYS live in forested sanctuaries? Why do none of them live alone?)

Day is desire and night is sleep.
    There are no shadows anywhere.
