I love Stephen King!  His books are always better than his movies tho IMHO.

I just saw 1408 the movie it was good, but the short storie was phenominal.

Dream catchers the book also is an increadible read, the movie doesn't do it justice.

I love the way he writes, he's just bold and he doesn't hold back.

Amen to that!

I had nightmares after reading Dreamcatcher. The movie were just bad.

It's amaizing how he can just get under a readers skin isn't it?

And yeah Dream catchers was bad.  It was such a good book to, I heard people say that they liked the movie but then none of them actually read the book to be let down.

Have you heard about his new book, Under the Dome? It comes out in November and sounds really cool!

Synopsis:

On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester’s Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener’s hand is severed as “the dome” comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when—or if—it will go away.

Dale Barbara, Iraq vet and now a short-order cook, finds himself teamed with a few intrepid citizens—town newspaper owner Julia Shumway, a physician’s assistant at the hospital, a select-woman, and three brave kids. Against them stands Big Jim Rennie, a politician who will stop at nothing—even murder—to hold the reins of power, and his son, who is keeping a horrible secret in a dark pantry. But their main adversary is the Dome itself. Because time isn’t just short. It’s running out.

I'm a wimp so I don't read horror, but the plot you've described there Marit sounds just like 'The Simpsons Movie'. Sorry.

Haha, I know! But, I think Stephen King probably is able to make it something else. Believe me ^^

And, I wouldn't describe his books as horror. It's thrillers! He's the one who wrote The Green Mile

I have read IT by SK tried to read others but his writing is v detailed. Seen a lot of his films though, some great, some good and some plain bad. Carrie, The Green Mile, IT and Stand By Me are my fave films based on his books.
