I wouldn't read would be a Tale of Two Cities. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike Charles Dickens because I loved some of his books like Oliver Twist, but War and Peace is a little too wordy for me.

Hmm, a conservative book. Well, maybe, just to get the other side's story..
Anyway, I'm not a fan of medical books, so anything with pictures of organs in it I will probably veer away from.

Congrats

any given John Grisham. I've read a few and found them to be the worst pulp my short life has ever allowed into my brian
(did that make sense?)
edit: yeah, a lot of people who've seen the movies say that about LOTR. I guess the movies attract a different type of mind than the books....or something.

I don't want to say that I would never read a book, because I'm trying to read a wide range of things, but I got halfway through TTT but just had to give up, can't do it!! Sorry!!

i am an avid reader and to me it seems a little curious, some of the books that have been listed are wonderful reads and i am one to say never say never especially when it comes to books as you get older your tastes mature and you find different things appealing. Now that being said a book i have heard about but will never read and i say never meaning it because of it's content not because of the way it is written is Mien Kempf the brilliant ravings of a sadistic lunatic is not something i feel would be enriching or i would get anything from at all!

Wow, a very old thread surfacing again... But an interesting one
I don't think I exaggerate when I call myself a book-addict. I'm currently reading my 45th book this year...
I have to agree with you Starleader when you say that your taste matures when you get older. I find myself reading books now that I wouldn't even have thought about five years ago. What I probably never will read are these typical chick-lit or stupid romance books. I can't even understand how people can like such nonsense.
Oh, and Starleader, you're probably referring to Hitler's "Mein Kampf".

that is the book in which i am referring to Brenda,(my German sucks lol) "my Struggle" as it translates to English! And for those of you who are interested on reading it be aware that the FBI and government agencies all over the world do track the selling and library traffic of this book and there are a few others as well that they monitor because of their content!

I was curious about Mein Kampf years ago and asked my librarian if he had a copy - not for any political reasons or because I believe Hitler was right or anything, just curiosity!
There's a couple of genre's of books that I've never read simply because I don't find them interesting - eg. crime - but thats not to say I would never read crime novels.
Possibly the only books I can think of me never reading are graphic novels or that kind of thing.
