Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens

Has anyone else read Oliver Twist?
I absolutely adore that book, it's one of my favourites!
Charles Dickens is also one of my favourite writers, does anyone else like him and any of his other books?
So far i've only read Oliver Twist but i really want to read some of his other books!

I've read Oliver Twist a couple of times. The last time it was for my Brit. Vic. Lit class. I'm actually writing a paper on it right now. But at the moment my brain is too tired to think about it. I've been studying all weekend.

What do you mean your trying to read David Copperfield?Is it really that hard to read that you have to try?
I had to write something for my Reading Log on Oliver Twist...It was fun

Charles Dickens is one of my faves as well. I love this one...my favorite is Great Expectations though...I think he is brilliant and I love his sense of humor.

I'm not used to reading in English.  And the book is also very big with these little letters and the vocabulary is more or less complicated. I begin reading it but after a while my eyes jump sentences and I end up confused and have to read that same part all over again.

Oh right, that would explain why it might be a bit hard for you to read...

Ahh..the GREAT Charles Dickens, or as my friends and i call him, Darles Chickens! lol...
Lets see, so far I've read The Old Curiosity Shop (great book, looong book, lots of new vocab...lol...)
Great Expectations (interesting but considering i had to read it for Literature class, not so fun at the time)
i have read a few parts of Oliver Twist and I'm VERY familiar with the story line, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere!
And i've read parts from the Pickwick Papers.
Oh, and Christmas Carol, you have HAD to of read that book! lol....
Well, anyways...Charles Dickens was the mastermind behind serial format of writing and publishing books, so of course i love the guy! lol...
Also, some of my other fav authors are: William Shakespeare...gotta love Shakespeare...my favs are Hamlet, Macbeth, and Julius Caesar, i didn't care too much for Romeo and Juliet, have you ever read King Lear or Othello? i want to read those but haven't yet.
Also Douglas Adams...to me he was a literary genius as well, phenomenal writer, but you have to like sci-fi to really get it.

I've read David Copperfield and have yet to get around to reading his other ones. classics are hard to get at first, but for me reading them is really fun once you get past wordiness and old-fashioned language.
