It is healthier! Many people in the west get 40% too much protein, wich is stored as fat, and decreases the nutruitional/ mineral/ vitamin intake! Ok, now I'm getting all worked up here, so I'll shut up for a while...

actually my problem is that i DONT get enough protein as a vegetarian! so i end up having excess carbohydrates which turns into fat.... which makes ME fat, which makes me unhappy! so, im on a high protein diet, although still vegetarian, i just eat a lot more nuts and beans and other high protein foods

The Morningside and Boca (US) brands have some really good soy products foods that taste awesome - I love the chicken patties and corn dogs (all made from soy and you'd never guess). I'm not a strict vegetarian, I eat seafood, but I do feel much better physically if I don't eat meat. Every person is different. Curious - it doesn't matter if you eat carbs or protein - a calorie is a calorie is a calorie. The only way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you intake.

I was talking about meat-eaters! But, hey that' sno good...What on earth are you eating, BTW? I've never heard about anyone eating good vegetarian food, and get to much carbs and too little protein...You should always eat something form the legominous plants to your meals, beans, nuts, linses etc. Maybe that's why your problem started, you didn't eat as much of that?

I'm kinda turning vegetarian. I ahven't eaten meat for about the last 2 weeks, except a meat pie my dad bought for me on the weekend and I felt like vomiting when I was eating it. I just kept thinking 'this was a cow once' and it was disturbing me no end.
So, yeah, I'm a veggie pretty much. Two of my friends are, but they're not why I've changed, I just thought about everything, and why should we kill innocent animals to eat when we don't have to?
And also, there's this really cool vegetarian resturaunt that I've been to a number of times, and all the food there is so delcious, you completly forget about meat, and on the menu it has all this information about how much better it'd be for the world if everyone was vegetarian etc. It just makes sense.
So yeah, thats my ramble for the day.

yeah, thats what my problem was to begin with, i began being a vegetarian back in the 5th grade i think, so its been a while, and well, i would always eat a lot of bread, and pasta and cereal and stuff like that, and fatty foods like ice cream, which was fine when i was little cuz i had a fast metabolism, but now i need to change my foods cuz i dont get a balance of things, especially protein! so im cutting the carbs and adding protein, i dont know if any of this makes sense, cuz i have trouble explaining it...

yer I am a vegetarian who doesnt eat eggs either. It is mainly for spiritual reasons. However it is alot healthier for sure. hav you heard the expression you are what you eat???
NO I not a nut....... No i not a cabbage.
Ok seriously. the animals that are slaughtered hav alot of fear when they are packed and slaughtered this causes the to have an exessive amount of adrenlin pumped through their body. whichcomes fdromtop of the kidney which is pure unrine. and I not eating that stuff. Plus the amount of chemicals they put in meat is also so damaging.

Plus the is no reason on the planet why pplneed to eat flash. Hav you ever looked at our teeth.Nh we dont need meat. You only need 15% of protein a day. lentils mushrooms etc. It is safe enough to be a vegan. But yer I like chocolate. that is only source of milk apart fromteh cheese if I eat that.
Yer if farers just farmed crops then world hunger would not exist.
Well those are my reasons. Is that enough?
I am glad that some of you are vegetarians.
Cos the fear that inthe animals is put in ur being, which you hav to process is no reason on the planet why pplneed to eat flash. Hav you ever looked at our teeth.Nh we dont need meat. Cos the fear that inthe animals is put in ur being, which you hav to process out. And ppl wonder why there seems to be so much depression around.
Ok off soap box dont ask me again. ahhahahahah ok one more thing. Eating anything is only a habbit.
Also with vitamins supplements is a good thing. Cos the soil doenst hav the nutrients in it that it used to years ago. right of box now...
