We've had Ice fr a bout 8 years now.

That's such a shame Victoria. Is 8 old for a budgie? Keeping fingers crossed that he'll be ok anyway.

Budgie's generally live for 7-9 years.
Elizabeth - Ice is a dude 
We've taken him to he vet, she doesn't know what's wrong but she's given us antibiotics to give him. Let's cross our fingers

Erm...Ice isn't overly keen on humans but I suppose if you got the right breed then they'd be cool. We've had most breeds of birds I think

Ice the Budgie initially made a full recovery. However for the last week or so he has been completely off balance. It looked like he had Parkinson's desease. He couldn't drink, eat, or even clean himself. We took him to the vets tonight. She said she thinks he may have had a stroke or brain tumors. We made the decision as a family to show how much we truly loved the little guy, and he had him put to sleep.

Thank you very girls. It was a very difficult thing to do but it would be cruel to keep him alive and in pain.
