Parties!

So I love throwing parties, but I always have problems lol.
I have friends and they are... Let me tell you they are kind of boring. They don't usually like to have fun like you always see in the movies of the way I like to have fun... they just sit there on the couch and talk about school with each other or about other uninteresting things.
So my birthday was October 1st and I had a party back then, but since I have friends that are like me too, I decided to throw 2 different parties. I actually forgot to throw a party for my other "boring" friends, So they asked me if I was going to do that still and I will.
Problem is: I don't know what to do So I kinda already decided I was going to invite them over and have snacks and nice drinks and let them stay for diner... But I don't know what I will do the rest of the day, really. I'm 18 years old and so is the rest, so I was kind of wondering what I could do.
Do you people have tips for me? What do you do when you throw parties?
Thanks in advance!

i am a 13 year old so i don't think i can help you much, lol. but here are some tips:
truth or dare!
push in random phone numbers and prank call random people and pretend your the local pizza man or someone else, (really fun! )
pillow fight!
silly string
look up your crush/boyfriend in the phone book, call him, and scream "I LOVE YOU!" into the phone. then hang up.
that's all i could think of. hope it helps, girl!

Im not the one to ask as I am not to social when comes to parties But sure snacks and dinner sounds great, then maybe you could play some board games or veg in front of some movies in the afternoon with popcorn, etc... you could have a lotr marathon, lol
If weather is nice you could go to the park or something, have a nice walk with your friends.
Hope I helped.

Is this the party for your 'fun' friends or your 'boring' friends (sorry for calling them that )? Maybe you could have a water fight or something? The last party I went to was great - we all had dinner, cake then a DJ was there and we all had a disco. If it's your 'boring' friends, I reckon movies would be a good idea, and music. Or maybe you could have a pampering session, with face maskes and things?

Yeah it's the party for my Boring friends, the party for my fun friends was fun lol.
I can't do the pampering thing, since I have actually 2 boys coming over as well lol. The parc and the water stuff can't do, since it's in Februari and it's awfully cold here in Holland.
I could play boardgames, I love that!! Thanks girls, Keep them idea's coming lol

Oh, right. Yeah, they might not enjoy that, lol!
The boardgames idea is good - you could play something fun like Twister.

Sometimes we have fire works and sparklers in the back. You can also use marshmallows +food color+toothpicks to create sculptures. You can do games like water balooon fights or just wiffle ball.
Also I saw one that was funny but I never did it...everybody tries to eat a donought off of a string as fast as they can.
We usuall also have a couple of board games available...ie: Cranium or trivial persuit.
Sometimes you can set a table up with craft supplies, paints, ect and everybody can just work on something separate. Dpends on how much cleanup you want.

Pam, do you guys have any Theatre Restaurants in your town? (You know the ones where they put on a play/comic sketches and drag members of the audience into the show to embarrass them? Always guaranteed to liven up a "boring" crowd, hehe!

Oh nooo I could NEVER do that These people get embarrased if you just laugh at them because they spilled something or whatever... And they're way too shy... they don't even feel comfortable dancing at parties
Mai, that sounds good I like that

^ Wow.... they really are boring aren't they? *gulps*
Sorry Pam, was only trying to help. Umm... a movie night with popcorn is sounding better all the time
I shouldn't make fun though cos I used to be really shy and easily embarrassed too... it's no picnic! Oh! That gives me an idea... how about a picnic? Too cold over your way probably. I'm stumped.

They're boring yes... Well... that's the word I use, because I don't know a word that expresses it better... Boring is prolly like an understatement
Haha Yes it's cold over here, It's been a long time since we last had winters this cold.... It's still freezing here at night and the temperatures are still not very high haha.
Thanks anyways for your replies and ideas

It's a shame you arent' having your party in summer. My birthday is in April and I'm planning a camp-out in the garden with a barbecue. But if it's freezing with you, then maybe not.
