Okay, final exams are coming up in one week exactly and I'm damn nervous and I'm going to study my @ss off.. so I won't be on anymore AT ALL.... I am no going to check anything... except for facts on history... Yeah, I'm a nerd

Just popping in briefly to let you all know I am still alive. However, am scheduled to take my PHR exam on June 5th. Gulp!  If I pass...things should free up a little for me.
RL does have me on the go lately...but hopefully it will settle down enough for me to have a little more computer time.  Keep sending those positive thoughts my way. Toodles until after June 5th.
Hope everyone is doing well. Mary, what do you think is the best book for studying Celtic? I am toying with the idea of learning Gaelic (did I spell that right).

Hey Culpie! Good luck with your exam!
As for learning Celtic...Irish language is called Gaeilge, Scottish is Gaelic. They have some similarities but mostly are different. Erm...I couldn't really recommend a particular book, I can't remember any textbooks I had when I was starting to learn it....Maybe you could join a group on Livejournal or something? Good luck (Adh Mór ort!) anyway!

I am grinning away at my ignorance over the proper name. Pretty sad from a girl who is half Irish.  I love listen to Irish music and decided it might be fun to try and learn the language a bit - after my exam of course.  Good suggestion on the LJ though. I never thought of that...I will keep ya posted. Maybe some day I will surprise you with a simple phrase of greeting.
Do you know of any CD's that have samples of pronunciation on them? Half of getting the language is saying it correctly.

I've only got 2 more exams tomorrow and then I'm finished  And I'm going to move!! I'm going to move closer to my aunt and only like 5 minutes away from here, to an even bigger place... So that should be good

Pamela - I have two more exams too, and I'm finished next Thursday. Can't wait!
Culpie - I'm afraid I can't think of any....you could try looking on Amazon and seeing if the have any book/CD combos. Best of luck with that!
