~Music Forum Rules~ (Please read before posting.)
« on: May 18, 2003, 09:05:08 pm »

Hey fellow music lovers!

Welcome to the Music Forum.  Here you can talk about your favorite bands, singers, and basically anything musically related (except what it sounds like when you fart in a tin can ) with your A&F friends.

I only have a few simple rules for you all to follow.  Hopefully they'll help to make your time spent in this forum more enjoyable.

If you have any questions about the rules, feel free to PM me with them.

If you don't like a certain musician/band/etc. you can let us know, but please don't go on about it.  We don't want to hear it.

However,  is allowed.  If you're not quite sure what that means, I'll give you an example:

Example of BASHING: "This band sucks! They're all stupid and they can burn in the devil's house!"

Example of CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM: "Their songs are kind of catchy, but I don't like the band's lyrics.  They're not deep enough for me."

They will be locked and/or deleted. If you want to rant about how much a musician or a band bothers you, you may do so in a thread such as .

If there's already a thread for a musician/band/etc., please don't make another one.  You might not see one at first, but please check back a few pages just in case there is one already.

If you make a double thread, it will be  with the original.  If you see a double thread, please let one of the moderators know.

Going off-topic sometimes is fine, but if you just want to post a one-liner like "My socks are green today," there are other places you can do that, like in the Fun Stuff threads.

Remember, one-worders, and completely random/spam posts are not allowed, and will be deleted.

If you could at least try to stay on topic, the threads will be more welcoming to other members who are not familiar with them. Thanks!

Starting , comments made on ANY thread of the forum must be a  of 10 words! Anything under 10 words is not acceptable, and therefore will be . Also keep in mind that repetition of one word, over extending one word or over use of netspeak is not considered constructive and will also be deleted.

I love The Beatles very, very, very, very, very, very, much.

Yru like that? B4 u weren't, but I was 2.

The concert was bad. I've never been soooooooooooooooooo bored in my life.

Also under this rule is posting of smileys. They are to be used to convey a particular emotion, not a word and therefore over use of these will be cause for a post to be deleted as well.

This will apply to ALL threads of the board except those in the Random Clubs & Fun Stuff sections. But using any of the above mentioned should be keep to an absolute minimum. Also the current rule of a 5 word post will remain for the Fan Creativity section.

This new rule will be strictly enforced.
