So it was brought to my attention that there isn't a TSO thread and I searched it to find this quite true!  I took it upon myself to create one because, honestly, this is the greatest band of musicians I've ever listened to!  I adore these people and everything they're about.  I just saw them for the first time on 12-12 in South Carolina.  I loved them before hand, but now, it's like could 9!  They are the masters of placing one in the Christmas spirit.  As a writer, I find this band to be the most inspirational when it comes to looking for motivation.

This will be a good thread to share interests and news of this amazing band!

I agree totally, Meg.  They are truly amazing!

Last year I was working security at a building which serves as the local headquarters for Clear Channel Radio.  One of their stations was about to give away TSO tickets, so I asked the program director if I could have a set.  He said I could.

So what happened?  My post was eliminated before the contest started.  No tickets for me.

This year, I'm working at a post that pays less (about $1.50/hour less), and due to unexpected expenses, I won't be able to buy tickets.  So far, all the contests have been during remote broadcasts -- usually, the first person to come by the location and answer a question gets the tickets.  I'm always on my way to work when they have one.

*sigh*  Maybe next year...

Aw, Aisling!  I am sure your day will come soon!   Such a bummer  though, I know.

So, I was trying to think of what TSO song puts me in the Christmas spirit the most. Any ideas?

Either the "Christmas Eve" medley or the "Christmas Canon" for me.

But for some reason this year, I've had a beast of time getting into the spirit.  Maybe because I was sick all last week, maybe because it's been unseasonably warm here (up until yesterday).  But I haven't even put up my tree yet, and I usually do that by December 1.

I'd better get that thing up this week; otherwise, why bother?

Ah, silly me!  I should have done so in the first post my dear!  My apologies!  Enjoy!

And Aisling, I love those two as well.   It was quite warm here last week too!  Finally it is getting quite cold again.  And I hate to hear you were sick.  Hope you're fully recovered now!   Aw, I hope you get your tree up!  It just doesn't feel totally like Christmas to me without the tree.

Much cooler.

I'm mostly recovered; I'll still have sniffles for another week or so (normal for me).  Hopefully, I'll get my tree up tonight.  I had too much other stuff to do last night which couldn't wait.  You're right -- it's not Christmas without a tree.

Ah I adore traditional orchestra.  That is why I was so attracted to TSO.

Well dear, I hope the tree goes well.  And might I suggest listening to TSO while putting it up?

TSO and Josh.  I always listen to Christmas music while putting up the tree.  Then I put on my PJs, make a cup of hot chocolate, coffee, or cider, and watch my Rudolph DVD by the treelight.

Well, I managed to get the tree assembled (while listening to Noel) before feeling ill again.  Maybe tonight I can decorate it to TSO.

I think I overloaded myself with my iron supplement.  I'm going off it for a few days to de-tox and see if that really is my problem.

Aw yes, decorating to both of those would be great.  I did.

And I hope you get to better health quite soon!  It's no fun to be sick for Christmas.

Got the tree decorated (and discovered my husband doesn't like TSO -- what is wrong with this man?).

I seem to be better today; maybe I'm mostly de-toxed.  Tonight, I've got a "date" with a deer.

(Rudolph, of course -- still gotta watch that DVD.)

Haha awesome!  But not awesome that your husband doesn't care for TSO, haha!  He must be converted.
