OH

MY

GOD!

KATE!!!!!!!!!  You are living the GROBIE DREAM!  You met the band!  OMG!  I don't know what to say!  OMG!  If I saw Lucia I would have fainted, or any of them for that matter!   OMG!  KATE! WOW!  Girl!

Front row ticket!?  Someone is smiling down on you today!

I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!  Like this is a huge deal!

The only thing I can say is that at my 2nd show I saw Sweeny waiting for his daddy back stage the last few songs.

Oh Kate, this is going to be a night to remember!  Can it get better than last night?  I bet so!

yayy, lol!

here's an awesome review of Josh's Salt Lake City performance:
http://www.sltrib.com/entertainment/ci_6745671

and the important part:

Quote:
"Thanks for coming back and packing the place," Groban said.
Tuesday's show carried extra significance having been chosen to film the DVD of his the 2007 "Awake" tour.
"You guys are the ones who get to watch this show tonight and forever," said the 26-year-old California native.

I know right!?  She is so incredibly blessed!   She had better take pictures!!

Yes, exactly!  Who doesn't want to relive that night(s)?  I know I do!

And you know, it's been ages since I've watched the "In Concert" DVD.  My mom and I always listen to the CD in her car though.  As of now, that is the only Josh CD she has in there.   But you really need to get that DVD my dear!

i've watched it before. a friend of mine let me borrow it about a week before my concert. it was really great...kind of weird because it was all songs from the first cd. i got both cds at the same time (Christmas nearly 3 years ago) so i wasn't used to only listening to one cd. and i didn't like the extras as much as the Live at the Greek extras, but they were still fun.  so yeah, i think it's something worth owning...make my collection complete, ya know?

i wonder if there will be extras on the Awake tour dvd?

Yeah I know what you mean.  I liked LATG better but it is still definitely worth owning to complete one's collection.

Haha!  I think we can almost guarantee ourselves there will be some fabulous extras on the Awake Tour DVD!

which is always the best part anyway.

i mean...what? the music is the best part, silly! but i love watching Josh act all goofy.

i still find it hilarious that there has been absolutely no mention about Josh's Christmas cd on joshgroban.com. you think with a tracklist, album artwork, and thousands of pre-orders on amazon and Barnes and Noble, they would at least mention something about it. a little "hey, Josh is making a Christmas album. yippy!" would even suffice.

LOL! i guess i spoke too soon.

Oh I totally just got kicked off when I went to post what I had...*shakes fist*
Anyways....you girls are so funny!
Megsie-- you are so right when you said someone was smiling down on my yesterday. As soon as I was sure I had the tickets and was holding them in my hand, I started sobbing.....it finally felt like something went right for me. It's been a rough past couple of years for me, for personal reasons, but....wow! It was through the grace of God that I was able to sit in the front row....I was certainly guarded by my guardian angels last night, and I will always be grateful.

Here are some pics from when I went up to the stage for NWIA:

Sorry they're big, I haven't gotten around to resizing them yet.

The one where he's holding the sweater up....when he first sat down, they started playing the Mr. Roger's Theme song and two crew members brought out a sweater and a pair of tennis shoes. It was hilarious.

AND HE FREAKING WALKED RIGHT PAST ME during IHE!!! HE TOUCHED MY HAND!!! I held it out and he touched it softly!!! Oh my gosh, his hand was so soft....manly soft.....BUT SO SOFT!!!! And there were definitely two times he looked right at me.

The first was when he was talking about him singing romantic songs and I went "WHOOOOOOO!" and twirled my light stick and he laughed and looked at me and said, "Hahaha, yeah, I know you like those songs!"

And then when he was singing Mai (I think!), he was walking over by my side of the stage and I waved at him and he pointed right back at me and smiled!!! Hahahaha....I'm sure he was laughing at/scared by my 'Grobanites Gone Wild!' tshirt, that is if he saw it under my hair!

That's it for now...I need to go type up my formal review now.

Regarding my gift....when I tried to take it in, this lady said the West Center gives it directly to him, so I really hope she wasn't just saying that just so I wouldn't take it in, especially since I might have slipped my phone number in there, under one of the CDs I made him.

OK....I'm outtie!

Here are some more pics from the BEST NIGHT(s) OF MY LIFE!

Tim & I:

Tariq & I:

Angelique came to our M&G.....when she first came she was giving EVERYONE hugs, it was so sweet of her to hug me and whoever she could, even when she was talking...she's just a sweet lady!

Pearls:

YOU ARE LOVED, JOSH!!!

^^^He is SUCH a rockstar!!! He came out from the stage and he was just SMILING and POINTING to us....and then he sort of picked up the mic and jumped onto the smaller platform....HE WAS ROCKIN IT!!!!

LUCIA! She looked absolutely GORGEOUS! Of course she did!!!

YOU GO TARIQ!!

L'Ultima Notte, I believe:

Meeting Tariq for the first time:

I consider these ladies to be a part of my family....they made me an honorary Grobanites Gone Wild.....they are the SWEETEST!!! I love them.

I LOVE this picture, this is when we were all the stage after NWIA. We stayed up for Machine and I think another song, but definitely for the encores....Canto, YRMU, and AWAKE!!! We were all swaying and crying together....so bittersweet, but I think it really captures the essence of the "Grobanites"

The reason I believe that picture up there captures the true essence of Grobies, is because Josh has been having some stalker problems lately, and probably the reason he was so elusive and never in sight is because his security people where making sure his stalked didn't find him.....the arena security even had a list of names of people to not let in, and even wouldn't let one in based on a photo they had.

I was talking to one of my GrobiesGoneWild's about it, and we were saying how sad it is that while his band can go anywhere they want, they'll still get noticed by fans and what not....but they can still go....Josh has no choice if he's being stalked. We were saying how lonely it must be....how cooped up he must feel....there's only so much you can do when you're by yourself, and that made us all really sad for Josh, and upset with the people for doing that to him. We didn't want to bother the band for too long, so we left alone after a while, but stilll....

Also, Lucia had been talking to one of the ladies about how torn Josh feels. He wants to be loyal to his fans and for them to like his music but he also wants to grow as a musician. And apparently there are a bunch of people who don't want him playing Machine during the concert because they think it's too.....I dunno, "not his style" I guess.

That's HORRIBLE!! His voice is so beautiful and I can't fathom why you would want him to NOT sing. I love "Machine"...I know hw wrote it for people who know what it's like to be bullied.....so many people are going to be able to identify with that song (myself included...I LOVE this song!) because of experiences like bullying. That's what powerful music DOES.....it makes you feel connected to people you don't even know, which, in today's world, is SUCH a beautiful thing that it should not be suppressed! But you know what I think? I think the people who don't like 'Machine' are the people who ARE the bullies....and so they can't appreciate the true poetry and beauty of these lyrics...

OK, that's my rant. Still working on perfecting my review, I shall have that up as soon as I can.
