Have you ever heard of or listened to Cradle Of Filth?
I have, they are very good for their style. I used to be obsessed with Nemesis. Their latest album Gilded C-nt or whatever it is called is probabaly my favourite.

I want to see it, grr!

Last night on Much Music I was watching this show "The Wedge", and I was thinking "Hey, maybe they'll play 'Only'."  But then I thought "Yeah, right.  They might not have even premiered it yet, and anyway, they only show videos by random lesser-known bands I've never heard of."  So I changed the channel after a couple videos.

But then I checked The NIN Hotline this morning and it said that the video premiered on "The Wedge" last night.   Eh, go figure.

*EDIT*

Ahhh!    I just found out that NIN are coming to my city on November 14th.  It's not official, but it's listed on QOTSA's tour site, and it's on the way...  so yay! It's official enough for me.

I'm sooo excited now.

Thats awesoe news Jodi.

Aaaah have any of you guys seen Broken. Its a short movie by Trent. Its extremely rare and EXTREMELY disturbing...heres a bit about it..

The Broken Movie is a full length music video used by Nine Inch Nails to promote their Broken EP, released in 1992. It is more of compilation video because each video in the package was recorded separately and then edited together, with the exception of Gave Up. The video was filmed and directed by Peter Christopherson of the band Coil, and Trent Reznor.
The whole video is about twenty minutes in length and features videos for almost all of the tracks from Broken (The exceptions being the short musical interlude Help Me I Am In Hell, and the track Last, which had no video). The wraparound story involves a young man being kidnapped and made to watch Nine Inch Nails videos while being tortured, which allegedly provoked an investigation by the FBI who thought that it was an actual snuff film.

The video for Happiness In Slavery was lifted from the compilation and used to promote the single of the same name. The video features performance artist Bob Flanagan strapping himself into a machine that subsequently rapes and kills him. The video was universally banned. The film also has a cameo by Robert Patrick (most famous for his role as the T2000 in the Hollywood blockbuster and brother of Filter frontman and former NIN guitarist Richard Patrick) portraying a police officer.

The video has not been given an official commercial release thus adding to its mythological status in alternative culture. The original hand-dubbed tapes were distributed my Reznor to various friends and dominatrixes, and original tapes are hard to come by. A future release seems unlikely, but it is available on some Nine Inch Nails fansites as well as on file sharing networks in Mpeg form. These are generally not of the highest quality as they are not first generation copies.

Check it out...

Yeah, I've heard of it. *shudder* I think I know the fansite they're talking about though - those Mpegs don't work anymore. I don't think the song files work either - it hasn't been updated in like a million years. I wonder if "Broken" is up on NIN.com...... I couldn't watch it though. (Rhoda's a bit squeamish. )

From what Mog has told me, it sounds really disturbing. I kind of want to watch it, but kind of don't ever.

My dad brought us a newer computer he took from his work, and videos work on it (well, they don't work perfectly, but at least I can see them).  So I was watching the "Only" video yesterday, as well as streaming a whole bunch of videos from NIN.com.

I really want to watch the "Broken" video.  I don't quite understand what it is, though.  Is it just the videos for "Pinion", "Wish", "Happiness In Slavery" and "Gave Up" mushed together? All of those videos are up at NIN.com, but "Gave Up" is just a live performance, so I don't get it.  Plus "Wish" just looks like a performance video, so...  I'm confused.  Is that it, or is there something more/different? I'm sure I could go figure it out myself, but I don't know where to look.

"Pinion" and "Happiness In Slavery" remind me of some dreams I used to have when I was a kid.  I used to have a lot of dreams about torture and crap, and weird machine-like things.  I had this one reoccuring dream where I was tied up with ropes in some dingy factory, and I was being hit by sledgehammers repeatedly.

I was on 9inchnails.com looking at video stills, and I thought this was hilarious:

Pinion

The video depicts where everything goes when you flush a toilet, everything goes down through several pipes until it reaches a chained man with the pipes hooked up to his mouth, of course.

Yeah, it's really cool. I like it. Haha, I love that bit with the lamp.

Broken really wasn't as bad as I was expecting. Some bits were really gross, though. Eeeeh.

Ooh, Morgan burned me a CD with some Nine Inch Nails songs on it, and they're really awesome. My favourite songs are All the Love in the World, Closer, Only and Everyday is Exactly the Same

Im glad you like the CD Seroggle. When I get enough albums ill burn you a CD just of Nine Inch Nails. The live CD I downloaded is SO cool. I love Trents voice! Yeah after seeing 'Broken' for the second time it was nowhere near as bad...but still the thought that some of the things in that do actually happen...its really scary.

Oh, what an ironic twist of fate. The stalker becomes the stalkee.

I listened to the CD this morning. Where is Everybody? or whatever it's called is really cool.

Edit: I have The Perfect Drug stuck in my head. Random question, when you guys think of Nine Inch Nails, do you think of fingernails, or actual nails?

I'm listening to the CD again, now. I used to think of fingernails, but now I'm starting to think of actual nails.
