Outkast

I don't think there's an official thread for this incredible, funny, energetic, original, crazy band.
I got hooked with "Rosa Parks" but I never knew who they were, just the song. And now with "Heya" and all that...they're so awesome! They're my 2nd/3rd favorite band. I saw them on SNL and I was so excited. Which was stupid because they were on-screen and not going anywhere and I could have taped it.
Anyway...I love their music. "The Whole World" is a crazy video that I love.
If this is a duplicate thread, I'm sorry - I did use the search button! Many times!

I love Outkast!! I've liked thier music ever since Miss. Jackson, thier videos are hilarious, and Hey ya was the best! It shows how creative and talented they are, the album is really good too. So much diversity, its really great!

I thought "Miss Jackson" was a great song and obviously most of Australia agreed with me as it was huge a few years ago ... but Hey Ya?? I'm sorry, but that is one helluva strange song!

I love Outkast!! I remember when "Miss Jackson" came out the beginning of my senior year in high school. The part when Andre starts to say "Me and your daughter, we got something going on" used to irritate me. haha But I like that song and "The Whole World". "Hey Ya" is a great song!! It's been stuck in my head so much lately. I burned it onto a cd b4 I get the album and I keep playing it over and over and dancing to it.

What's weird about "Shake it like a polaroid picture"?
I thought that was brilliant.
Though I haven't taken a polaroid in years.

We had a pep rally yesterday, and some of the teachers dressed up and pretended to be Outkast perfmoing "Heya". Good stuff.

Hah, that sounds entertaining. Teachers are weird. Last year the hairy science teacher came out in a pink thong at the pep rally, displaying 'what not to wear on beach day for Spirit Week'.
I used to like Outkast. 'Miss Jackson' was my favorite song when it first came out. I don't mind 'Hey Ya'. I couldn't stand it at first, but it grew on me. It'll probably brush off me in a week or two, though. That's just the way it works with catchy songs that don't mean anything to me.

I like 'Hey Ya' but that's all I've heard by them. My friend bought the new album and I'm going to ask her to burn it for me.
|
And I'll keep digging, till I feel something.

^ Yeah, I love their version. I used to like Miss Jackson when it came out (the original, outkast version) but I just heard it so many times that it got annoying.
As for hey ya, I love it. I've heard it heaps lately, but it's not annoying me yet... It's so damn ctachy. lol.

Yeah...I really like Outkast so when I started to hear that song, instead of downloading it from itunes, I just listened when it came on the radio. This way, it won't annoy me! And I can shake it like a Polaroid picture in the privacy of my own room.
