I was wondering whether it would be possible to have a private members section.

the members section has been public since i started coming here in 2004 and as far as i know there hasn't been a problem with privacy or breech of security. if you know of any, please let the moderators know.
but you do make a good point carina. especially in times like now where anyone can view these posts and use them for whatever means they want. for now, i say be very discreet in what is posted there and i'll take this matter up with the mods and administration.

we've discussed this and have decided to leave the section as it is.
as i said, and the mods have mentioned, there have been no reports of any unusual activity in the members section, so if privacy is a concern, please be aware of what you post in that section. as a rule, what you want to remain private, don't post.
again, if there are any breech of security issues that may arise, please contact one of the mods.
