Just for curiosity: When this Lij forum was created?

I'm turned 1 year as a member of this forum I'm glad it is so very active. I want to know the year of creation of this forum. I hope it is not silly, weird or repeated question.

Well Jochen registered on this forum on: September 02, 2002, 08:33:51 AM. And I did a day later  . So I think it's safe to assume that was the day the forum was created.

Jochen set up this forum for A&F, I can't take any credit for it, I wouldn't know how to do such a thing, lol. So I'm assuming that once the forum was set up he registered an account for himself (making him the 1st member of this forum), then sent me an e-mail so I registered the next day. So I'm pretty sure the forum would have been opened to the public either on the day or the day after I registered.

Autumn was one of the 'creators' wasn't she? One of the first to work here and at the A&F website anyway.
I can't believe i joined on 30 september 2002, that wasn't long after the forum actually opened. But this forum was made to replace an ezboard wasn't it? And i was never part of that old forum. I just remember here was buzzing when i joined yet it hadn't been open long, it must have had so many members due to there already being an old A&F forum.

Well I have a horrible memory so I don't know how much of this is going to be accurate. A&F opened in September 2001 and was hosted by geocities. It grew really fast and within 3 months geocities was already closing it down regularly because it was generating too much traffic (this was right in the middle of the FOTR premieres and stuff).
Umm... then I think it was in January that Marcus (who owns elijah-wood.com) offered to host A&F. I have no idea how that came about actually, I don't remember having spoken to him much at all. Things didn't work out there though, don't know why exactly but he then said he couldn't host A&F anymore so we were offline for about a month.
Then in late February Jochen (who owns ejwsites.net and had an Elijah website of his own called Elijah's Gallery) offered to host the site. Again, don't really recall having spoken to him much before then. But Jochen was totally the saviour of A&F. People don't understand how much behind the scenes work he's done for our site, but really A&F is what it is today totally because of him 
Ok, so Autumn... hmm... I didn't actually know Autumn at the time, but she was a frequent visitor to the site and would always send me news and we quickly became friends. She joined A&F in late June, 2002. Then left sometime last year I think it was because she thought she didn't have enough time to devote to the site anymore. So after she left Sarah joined.
The 1st A&F forum was indeed an ezboard one (http://geocities.com/elvenmuggle/lijold.html). It was replaced with another one of those free forum spaces, can't remember what it was called. Actually I can't remember exactly why I didn't want the ezboard one anymore. I think it had too many popups and ads. But the new forum was too popular and the server kept shutting us down for too much traffic. So then Jochen (yes, A&F's knight in shinning armour) offered to host the forum and here we are today

Thank you Lucy for writing all this info down - it was really interesting to find out how my favourite site started out. 
I'm so grateful to everyone who has ever contributed anything to A&F, may it live forever.
