i keep getting notices that say the sever is bung and the board goes all white and stuff  weird

Oh, I get that sometimes too. It's always a "cannot find server" page. It happens now and again, sometimes, it just throws me out when I logged on. maybe the server hangs up...
don't really know.

I sometimes have that message too, 'server cannot be found'. But usually if I log in again, after a few minutes, I can get back on.
SolskjaersGirl, I really like that phrase you use on the bottom of your message (I can't see it now.. But you know, the one about being rich.. LOVE that and it's SO true!  )

I think your all talking about the message you get when the forum page wont load? Anyway, it just means that the server is down.

Hi there,
Since this is one of the most crucial parts of maintenance (server uptime), I'm very keen to learn more about this...
Anyway, here's my two cents for it:
There are several reasons possible for a "server not found", where one of them is because the name didn't resolve "in time". I yet found out that during the past 12 hours, there have been three very short "network jams" with the server. But the server irself now runs smoothly for 50 days (yippie!)
Whenever you come across such an error message, please write me an e-mail at either of these addresses:

Yeah, that's what it means. Sometimes it happens for a few long hours, that's when it gets frustrating
Thanks Petra. If you can't see it, it actually says,"It's not the length of life or gold of kings that makes a person rich, it's the love we gather on the way." I got it from a book for young adults, really, by GP Taylor called Shadowmancer. Great stuff, that book, has magic and folklore, and smuggling and the fight between good and evil.Brilliant! Check it out.

Hey SolskjaersGirl, that was the phrase I meant, but if you write a message, that last part does not show below.. I can see it when I read the threads tho!
I'm addicted, seriously addicted, to books so I might just check that one out, (after I finish the 5 books I bought but haven't read yet, lol...) thank you for the tip!

Did anyone else have trouble getting into the board the last few hours? I couldn't acess the website for the past, 8-9 hours I think.
I'm only logging in now, 9 hours later. And, believe me, I did try before...anyone experience the same thing?

Yes the server was down again yesterday. It went down at around 12 AM (UK time) but i'm not sure when it came back on again because it's 1 PM now and everything is working fine again.
Sorry about the inconvenience everyone.
