Netspeak in other languages?

I was just randomly pondering things, and came up with this.
Does anyone know if people who speak languages other than English use netspeak in their native language? Or do you speak a different language and use (or witness people using) netspeak in your language?
I was just wondering if netspeak was only an English thing.
Netspeak as in:
u = you
r = are
y = why
ttly = totally
plz = please
cuz = because
lyk = like
Etcetera...

Hmm, I'm Dutch and I use netspeak sometimes, but I speak alot of English with my friends.
Your second question, do you mean what netspeak people use (other then u - you, ... ) in their own language?

Yeah, that's basically what I meant. Is there Dutch netspeak?

Yeah, some replace the 'ij' with 'y' for faster typing I suppose. And sometimes they drop the vowels in a word.
I don't really use that much netspeak tbh, maybe just dropping the last letter of a word

Jes we use netspeak, I also speak Dutch.
we abbreviate words, or use the english version sometimes...

In Spanish we use thousands of new ´words´ created for both Netspeak and sending messages with a mobile phone.

netspeak? well, on dutch sites&forums we normally speak normal dutch, because IF you find people there who 'speak net' you can't make up any word of it. Sometimes we use things we also use on sms, like
w8ff= wacht even = wait a second
vanaaf= vanavond= tonight
idd= inderdaad= indeed
etc, etc, etc, blablabla

It's "ttly" -- "l" before the "y", for "totally". Yeah, "ttyl" is "talk to you later".
Anyway, that is interesting that you use netspeak in your own languages too. Netspeak makes every language just that much more confusing... haha.

Well, regarding english netspeak, I only use lol occasionally. My first language is german but I don't tend to use netspeak there, actually, I'm not aware of german netspeak but I'm pretty sure it exists. I'm not being very helpful I know, maybe some of the other germans on this board will drop in and give you some more info.
