I know Elijah's role is minimal but I hope that he's around enough to be able to give a commentary way down the line when the DVD's released. He seems pretty observant and able to speak intelligently about a film. It would be neat to hear him contrast the Hobbit shoot with the LOTR's one.

But Lij is Frodo. What role Lij is going to do in "The Hobbit"?

He'll be portraying Frodo... as a cameo. :3

Quote from: ~*Lorie*~ on June 25, 2011, 03:52:59 pm Thanks so much for the link Lorie. It's exciting that he will be part of The Hobbit. Don't know that otherwise I'd be so excited. I'll forever be in love with PJ for including his character.

From TheOneRing.net:
Of late there seems to be no let up to the slew of Hobbit-related news and we're not complaining.
Dwarf revelations aside, today brings a very interesting tweet by Ryan Gage, cast originally in the role of Drogo Baggins, the father of Frodo Baggins (played, of course, by Elijah Wood).
"Had a costume fitting today and met Elijah Wood for the first time. What a really nice guy!"
Early this May, Peter Jackson announced via Facebook that Ryan Gage would be playing the Master of Laketown's conniving civil servant, Alfrid.
We already knew that.
As far as I know, Ryan did play Drogo, and PJ actually liked him enough to reward him with this extra role.

Contrary to some fans' belief, he still actually enjoys talking about the role of Frodo.
That's a good thing. Elijah's worked very hard to avoid being typecast. He's known to have many irons on the fire though and seems thrilled to play Frodo again in The Hobbit.

Wow, what great interviews Thanks Lorie. I haven't been following the hobbit process as much as I'd like... I'm really excited though I'm also glad to hear Ian Holm's gonna have a part too.
Does anyone know when exactly Elijah goes to NZ? Or has he already went? I thought I heard October...
