Quote from: Alliecat on August 30, 2012, 10:38:45 pm But for Ryan and Wilfred, it was the first time. Elijah really put on the act in his "sad" voice. Oh, my God. I just wanted to burst through the television screen and hug the life out of both his young-self and present self. Ryan needs love, and lots of it -- stat!

it was a fantastic episode. there are more episodes this season that stand out than last for me. "now," "truth," and "questions" have been phenomenal.
i wonder though if elijah was acting in the end. it was so believable and powerful. i think he went to a place than genuinely hurt him and he absorbed it and that came through just as cameras were rolling.
i think that ryan needing love could be the answer. no one has really said "i love you" to him for a long time. at least in the first two seasons. the only person who said it to him was amanda and ryan let her go. ok, so wilfred said he loves ryan but he's a dog and that not quite the same.
