Elijah likes totally different roles all the time, so , I'd like to see him as James Herriot in "All Creatures Great and Small"..... he could use his Frodo dialect in it which absolutely had me entranced. He also did well with animals on talk shows and penguins on interviews......... so he's a natural.

He can do everything but NOT a romantic comedy! I hate these films, most of them are badly made and have no decent plot. I'd much rather see Elijah do darker roles. "Day Zero" was a start but I'm sure he can still go much further.

umm..can you explain more? what's wrong with Elijah playing Romantic roles?  I don't see the reason why, I mean those movies are not bad and...

he did do Try 17.. that was a romantic role, but I must say he seems better at the dramatic roles!

Well, maybe a romantic drama would be better. I do think he should try comedy too; I bet he can be hysterical. And definately a musical.  As long as he's not in drag like John Travolta in "Hairspray".

Right well, differente opinions..I like Romance a lot and well maybe it's bcause I still like to be a princess? I still like Fairy princess stroies...

I agree...Romantic comedies..indeed any romantic drama has the worst kind of acting..and to see Elijah 'waste' his talent in such a role would be awful! That's not to say i wouldn't like to see him in some sort of 'romantic' role..but maybe we'll get that in the OMs..

I agree, and I do agree with Cristiel too - he's moved on now! Some actors are very suited to rom-coms but I don't think Lij is one of them - his talents go outside that field!
I must say I'd like to see him do a historical film. Anyone agree?

Yes I agree, I'd like to see him in a film set in World War 1 or at least the same time frame 1914-1918 or thereabouts, I can really see it in my mind.

Those are exactly my sentiments. The more I see him play these types of submissive victim/observer roles, the more I get turned off by him, and roll my eyes. He needs to start playing with more range post-Lord of the Rings. I would love to see him in good comedy, because what he did on SNL was just the start of brilliance.

There is a picture of Elijah in a cowboy hat, have you seen it? I don't know what film or photoshoot it comes from. He did look hot in the hat.
Oh long haired Elijah....fans self....I so want Elijah to grow his hair long, it would be lovely. Mind you i also thought he was really sexy with the shaved 'Day Zero' hair.
