I didn't enjoy New Moon In the twilight series. Not because [b]Spolier! For those who didn't read it yet/b] when Edward left bella and go to Italy? It wasn't for the lack of no edward in the story. It was mostly Bella describing and emotions she has. When it came to her and Jacob hanging out, then it was getting a bit better.

The Twilight saga. I'm sorry, I just don't get why people are obsessing over it so much. It's just about sparkling vampires and a shiny-hot-dude. I recieved the first book last Christmas, and I screamed, throwing it away from me.
I reached chapter 12, put it down, and my friend asked if she could borrow it. I said yes, and she didn't give it back to me since May. XD Since I have no interest in the book, I loaned it to my younger sister. She enjoys the saga, but she is not allowed to read Breaking Dawn. (I told my mother what happened in the book... I heard the news from a friend in school)
I was into Eragon a couple years back, but I stopped. It was a cheap rip-off of LotR and Star-Wars... only with a dragon. If you would like to read about dragons, adventure, and romance, I may suggest The Pit Dragon Chronicles by Jane Yolen. Good reading. ^^

Do you know what. Blue Captivation, I was exacty the same as you regarding 'Eragon' by Christopher Paolini. I read the first two books and enjoyed them, and then when waiting for the third one I read them back again I thought they weren't great at all. Now I actively dislike them.
As for Twilight....I saw the film and thought it was pretty rubbish, so I didn't even venture for the books. I know I should probably read them before I judge them, but the plot was so weak in the film, and so completely not my thing, that I know I wouldn't enjoy them.

Ah! I've read the first two books before and watched the movie. (er... didn't really like it, but that's just me.) When the 3rd one was released, I borrowed it from the school library and started to read it. Yeah... I realized that it wasn't all that great I thought it would be.
PDC and Dragon Rider are true dragon adventure books! <3 :3
Me too! I watched the Twilight film when I had nothing to do, I was vacationing in Michigan this summer and decided to watch it. (while reading a very fluffy Lurlene McDaniel book. )
I didn't like it. He always stalked her. And I've heard other things about BD, of Jacob "imprinting" on Edward and Bella's daughter, who was a baby. And that's weird! Even Robert Pattinson said that SMeyer is mad.

Is that Dragon Rider by Cornelia Funke? I used to love that when I was younger, and she writes the kind of books I still go back and read and enjoy now, even though I'm probably a bit old for them.

Yeeesh, it is! I've only read one of her books, but I hope to actually get into InkHeart sooner or later. I've heard that Funke may be writing a sequel to DR. No matter what age I am, I'll forever be a kid at heart and whipped away into her adventures of fantasy. ^_^
Since this is a topic of hated books... A lot of students from my English class are reading The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinback. They're hating it, finding it boring as heck. But I think it's alright. Also last year during our sophmore year, we read The Pearl which is also by JSB.
They hated it as well. But I enjoyed it. Everyone has different tastes in all sorts of books. But I may understand why they hated it. I was shocked when it had been revealed that Coyotito's head was blown off. O_O! But I learned to accept it and it was a very bittersweet ending.
..... The movie version sucked. The ending sucked. XP Ah well.

^ Inkheart is brilliant, but my favourite book of hers is 'The Thief Lord', by a mile.
I actually tried reading 'The Grapes of Wrath' but I never really got much into it before i gave up. I tried it after I read 'Of Mice and Men', which I loved, by the way.

Oh, I completely forgot about tTL! *slaps forehead* My brain isn't exactly working today. I was half way into it, but I had to return it to the school's library. It's too bad because I don't think the public library in my neighborhood doesn't own The Thief Lord. I've only seen Inkheart there. I should re-read it and finally finish it the next time!
And that's okay! We're reading the even chapters, even if they're going to get longer and longer. (Oh, joy... =P) But I enjoyed Of Mice & Men, such a good book!

Has anyone read 'The Notebook' By Nicholas Sparks? Well DON'T! I am totally one of those sad girls who gets sucked into sappy romance novels, but unfortunately his I cannot read. After seeing the movie I decided to read the book with the assumption that the book would hold an even more beautiful story. Wrong! The 'intimate' scene lasts for way too long, and there is no real story to speak of. I don't advise reading it. Oddly enough, the movie is much better in my opinion.

I agree! I read the first page and put it down. Though, it was written by someone very young and I applaud young writers. The hype is misleading.

Yeah, I think Christopher Paolini was only about 17 when Eragon was published. But still, disappointing.
Thanks for the info about The Notebook (I'm afraid I'm one of those girls that didn't much like the film ).

Awww I love Nicholas Sparks. But that's okay. ^^
I've never did read The Notebook but watched most of the movie. I've only read The Rescue and the other title that I forgot but it's about a widow and her husband's gift that was a Great Dane and she had to choose between two men and one of them was a nutcase.
I wanna read A Bend in the Road soon. ^^
I don't plan on reading The Notebook. I don't know why... Just don't want to.

Haha no problem!
Though, to be honest I read it a few years back. I might actually like it now, but I don't think I will be giving it a chance anytime soon.

I have no doubt that his other books are great I guess I am just picky when it comes to my romance books - I like them to be socially realistic I suppose.

I hate any books by Meg Cabot. I'm sorry, its just she doesnt flow with the story, she doesnt give enough details. Its like she is in a rush to write books, lol. I agree with Domlijah, the notebook wasn;t Nicholas Sparks best. The movie was way better! I was so confused what was going on, lol.
But Nicholas Sparks other books: Dear John and The Last Song are amazing
